Day 1 - Auckland to Bay of Islands
Travel north over the Auckland Harbour Bridge through the northern suburbs before reaching the beautiful beaches and the beautiful Bay of Islands. Arriving around midday, the rest of the afternoon is free to explore this delightful area. Recommended is a ferry ride to Russell and a visit to New Zealand’s Treaty House.
Day 2 - Bay of Islands
Today we have included a Fuller’s Bay of Islands ‘Flexi-Ticket’ allowing you a choice either a Cape Reinga Day Tour, Cape Brett Hole in the Rock Cruise, a Supercruise, a Dolphin Adventure Cruise or a Tall Ship Sailing experience. Day 1 - Christchurch to Queenstown (via Mt Cook)
Depart Christchurch and travel across the Canterbury Plains to the country towns of Geraldine and Fairlie. From here climb over Burkes Pass to the MacKenzie Country and pass Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki en route to Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. A stop is made in the national park before continuing over the Lindis Pass to Central Otago. The vineyards of this region appear as you reach Cromwell and travel through the Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown
Day 2 - Milford Sound Day Excursion
Board your coach this morning for your day tour to Milford Sound. Head south along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and on to Te Anau where a short stop is made. Then continue your journey though the Eglinton Valley and emerge from the Homer Tunnel to the magnificence of Milford Sound. Here you will join your cruise and experience up close sheer rock faces rising from the sea and the numerous waterfalls and marine life. A buffet lunch is included on board. Following the cruise return to Queenstown. (A fly-back option is available at extra cost and dependent on suitable weather conditions, details on request).
Day 3 - Queenstown
Today is free to explore Queenstown and its many attractions, jet boat excursions, bungy jumps, lake cruises, white water rafting, hang gliding, golf, shopping and much more.
Day 4 - Queenstown
Today you will retrace your steps to Christchurch with another chance to view the Southern Alps and Mount Cook as you head north. Arrive Christchurch in the early evening.

Day 4 - Napier Today enjoy a morning tour, briefly learn of the history,
including its darkest period immediately after the 1931 earthquake
that devastated the city, before visiting some of the regions award
winning winery's. Time allows for tastings. The afternoon is free
to explore. Later transfer to the airport to fly to New Zealand's
capital city, Wellington. NOTE: Children are not permitted on this
winery tour.
Day 5 - Napier - Wellington Board the coach and travel south through
the moisture starved farmland of the North Islands eastern provinces.
See New Zealand's largest windmill farm as you traverse the Wairarapa
basin before climbing over the main divide and descending into Wellington.
New Zealand's Capital City at approximately 18:40 hours.

and board your coach to the West Coast Glaciers. Tonight stay at either
Fox or Franz Josef Glacier.
Day 2 - West Coast Glaciers Today is free to relax and enjoy the scenery
or participate in the many activities available in this glacial wonderland.
Day 3 - West Coast Glaciers - Queenstown Today travel south past tranquil
lakes, across the Haast River and climb Haast Pass past towering mountains
with cascading waterfalls. Leaving the West Coast Rain Forest for

Gorge. Passing Lake Hayes arrive in Queenstown.

beside Lake Wanaka before crossing the Clutha River and arriving
in the alpine village of Wanaka.
Day 4 -Wanaka Today is free to explore this unique alpine village,
its lake and its region.
Day 5 - Wanaka - Dunedin Travel along the shores of Lake Dunstan
to Cromwell. Joining the Dunedin Connection Coach, continue past
the Clyde High Dam, cross the wilderness of the Maniototo arriving
at Middlemarch to board the 'Taieri Gorge Train' for a spectacular
rail journey through the heart of the Taieri Gorge to arrive in
Dunedin - The Edinburgh of the South.
Day 6 - Dunedin - Te Anau This morning is free to explore. Early
afternoon depart Dunedin to climb over Saddle Hill before descending
to the Taieri Plains. Skirting Lake Waihola over the South Otago
farmlands before crossing the Clutha River and passing through Gore
and Lumsden on the way to Te Anau - the Gateway to Fiordland.
Day 7 - Te Anau - Milford - Queenstown Today travel through the
remote wilderness of Eglington Valley, part of the world Heritage
Area, to finally emerge from the Homer Tunnel on the way to Milford
Sound. A cruise on the Sound provides the opportunity to view sheer
rock walls and waterfalls, which rise to over 5,000ft. Return to
Te Anau, crossing the tussock country of Northern Southland, to
reach Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown.
Day 8 - Queenstown Today is free to Queenstown. We have included
a ride on the Skyline Gondola high atop the Queenstown basin.
Day 9 - Queenstown - Christchurch Depart Queenstown via the Kawarau

From Geraldine climb over Burkes Pass and into the MacKenzie Country with its expanse of tussock, framed by towering snow capped peaks, then past Lake Tekapo and on to Mt Cook Village at the foot of New Zealand's tallest peak. On arrival at Mt Cook time permits for a scenic helicopter or ski plane flight complete with snow landing (extra cost applies). From Mt Cook travel south through the Lindis Pass and Kawerau Gorge to Queenstown.
Day 3 - Milford Sound
Board the coach, specially built for Milford Sound, and head south along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and on to Te Anau for a morning tea stop. Departing Te Anau travel through the remote wilderness of the Eglington Valley and emerge from the Homer Tunnel to the magnificence of Milford Sound. Cruise Milford Sound and experience up close the geographical uniqueness of 5000ft sheer rock faces rising from the sea and the numerous waterfalls and marine life. Departing Milford Sound, the coach retraces its journey back to Queenstown, for your overnight stay.
Day 4 -Queenstown
Today is free to explore this alpine resort. We have included a ride on the Skyline Gondola high atop the Queenstown basin. For the more adventurous, take the Dart River Jet, the ultimate soft adventure experience taking you into the heart of Mount Aspiring National Park via the braided Dart River (extra costs apply).
Day 5 - Queenstown to West Coast Glaciers
Depart Queenstown and travel through to Wanaka before descending Haast Pass to the rugged West Coast travelling past Westland Rain Forests to the icy brilliance and eerie magnitude of Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. Tonight you will stay at Franz Josef Glacier.
Day 6 - West Coast Glaciers to Punakaiki
(or Greymouth)
This morning the coach travels north through native forests and raging rivers before arriving in Greymouth. Leaving Greymouth, the road hugs the narrow strip of land wedged between the Tasman Sea and the Southern Alps with its storm battered coastline and deserted beaches, arriving at Punakaiki, famous for its unique rock formations and blow holes carved by the wind and sea over centuries (occasionally accommodation may not be available in Punakaiki, in these cases today’s journey will conclude in Greymouth).
Day 7 - Punakaiki (or Greymouth) to Nelson
Departing the West Coast follow the Buller Gorge into the hinterland before climbing over Hope Saddle to enjoy spectacular views of Nelson Lakes National Park. Nelson has something for everyone and is situated close to Abel Tasman National Park with its unique marine life and endless golden sand beaches.
Day 8 - Nelson
A free day to enjoy Nelson and the surrounding area. This region is known for its stunning scenery and three national parks, Abel Tasman, Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes, which make it the ideal location for outdoor adventures.
Day 9 - Nelson to Kaikoura
Leaving Tasman Bay, climb over the Richmond Range to reach the fertile Wairau Valley, in the heart of Marlborough's Wine District before arriving in Blenheim. Here board the Tranz Coastal Train to head south along the breathtaking coastline to Kaikoura.
Day 10 - Kaikoura to Christchurch
This morning enjoy a Whale Watching Tour following the resident sperm whales. You may also see resident dolphins, seals and albatross among many other marine animals and birds. Afterwards board the Tranz Coastal Train and head south past some of New Zealand's most spectacular coastal scenery before rolling out across the Canterbury Plains and arriving in Christchurch at approximately 7pm. Your tour concludes on arrival in Christchurch.

Early afternoon travel through the world's largest manmade forest to Taupo before climbing over the North Islands main ranges to Napier in the prominent wine and fruit producing region of Hawkes Bay, famous for its Chardonay's. Napier is recognised for its Art Deco buildings, erected after the devastating earthquake of 1931.
Day 5 - Napier - Wellington
Today enjoy a morning tour, briefly learn of the history, including its darkest period immediately after the 1931 earthquake that devastated the city, raised the foreshore and harbour metres into the air and left 1000's homeless before visiting some of the regions award winning winery's. Time allows for tastings. This afternoon fly south to New Zealand's capital city, Wellington. NOTE: Children are not permitted on the winery tour.
Day 6 - Wellington Today is free to enjoy New Zealand's capital.
Day 7 - Wellington - Christchurch
This morning cross Cook Strait on the Interislander and cruise through the Marlborough Sounds to Picton. In Picton board the Tranz Coastal Train and head south past some of New Zealand's best wine country to Kaikoura, famous for its crayfish (lobster) and whale watching before heading on to Christchurch. If you would like time to go whale watching in Kaikoura or wine tasting in Blenheim you can add an extra night and additional sightseeing options on this leg. This can be arranged for an additional fee.
Day 8 - Christchurch - West Coast Glaciers Boarding the Trans Alpine train, journey across the Canterbury Plains and wind up the gorges of the Waimakariri River, flanked by snow capped mountains to Arthur's Pass.
