Day 1 - At Wellington
Wellington is New Zealand's capital and is a compact city, set dramatically
on the shores of a fine deepwater harbour. Explore, if you wish some of
the many shops around Queen's Wharf, visit Te Papa Museum, or take a ride
on the cable car.

Day 2 - Wellington to Picton to Nelson
Join the Interisland ferry at Wellington and cruise Cook Strait to Picton
in the South Island. Join the coach a continue on your journey for today,
to the city of Nelson where it is possible to enjoy some of the country's
finest beaches in and around its environs.

Day 3 - Abel Tasman National Park
Visit the nearby Abel Tasman National Park for a guided scenic cruise
around the bays. View golden beaches, indigenous bush headlands and many
native birds, other wildlife as well as an abundance of sealife too.
Day 4 - Nelson to Kaikoura
The coach travels south through some of the world's finest wine regions
and follows the rugged coastline alongside the Pacific Ocean where seal
colonies may be viewed en route to Kaikoura.

Day 5 - Kaikoura to Chirstchurch
Kaikoura is one of the few places in the world where it is possible to

Day 1 - Arrive Christchurch
Welcome to New Zealand and the city of Christchurch, the South Island's
main international gateway. A vibrant, cosmopolitan city aptly named the
"Garden City of the South Pacific" with many beautiful parks.

Day 2 - At Christchurch
A day at leisure to explore the city and region's many attractions. A
visit to the International Antarctic Centre or Canterbury Museum and Arts
Centre is recommended, or take a day tour to Kaikoura or Hanmer Springs.
Day 3 - Christchurch to Greymouth to Fox Glacier
Board the Tranzalpine train to cross the Canterbury Plains and through
spectacular gorges and river valleys to Arthur's Pass. Travel through
the Otira Tunnel and under the country's greatest mountain range, the
Southern Alps, to the town of Greymouth with its historical buildings
and friendly locals. Continue your journey to the amazing Franz and Fox
Glaciers and an absolutely breathtaking, scenic helicopter flight and
glacier snow landing is recommended.

Day 4 - Fox Glacier to Queenstown
The coach travels through magnificent countryside as the scenery changes
dramatically, as you journey through the Haast Pass to the high-country
grasslands of Otago. Pass by Lake Hawea and Wanaka on route to Queenstown,
nestled alongside the deep blue waters of Lake Wakatipu.

Day 5 - Queenstown
A day at leisure in Queenstown, the adventure capital of the South Pacific
and surrounded by the Remarkables and Eyre Mountains. Go jetboating, bungy
jumping, snow skiing, or, take in the stunning scenery as you ride the
gondola to Bob's Peak.
Day 6 - Queenstown to Milford Sound (D)
The coach skirts Lake Wakatipu and travels to Te Anau, gateway to Fiordland
National Park. Descend into Milford to begin your overnight adventure
aboard one of the Milford Cruise Ships. Cruise through Milford Sound and
out to the Tasman Sea, where the sails are raised before returning to
Harrison Cove to anchor overnight. After dinner, which is included on
board, mingle with the other guests before retiring to your private cabin.

Day 7 - Milford Sound to Queenstown to Walter Peak
Station to Queenstown (B,D)
After breakfast, disembark your cruise ship and return to Queenstown for
a day at leisure. This evening depart the Steamer Wharf onboard your cruise
for Walter Peak Station, where a wonderful home-cooked dinner is served.
After as short tour of the sheep farm, return to Queenstown and enjoy
a sing-a-long around the piano.

Day 8 - Queenstown to Rotorua (D)
Today, leave the South Island behind, as you fly from Queenstown to Rotorua

The city is famous for its thermal activity and Maori culture. Tonight
enjoy a feat of traditionally prepared Maori "kai" (food) and be entertained
with fierce "hakas" (war dances.)

Day 9 - Rotorua to Auckland
Forests and lakes, gushing waterfalls and hot springs surround the city

national emblem, the Kiwi bird. The afternoon, the coach drives on to
the largest city in New Zealand, Auckland, home of the America's Cup and
rightly know as the "City of Sails."

Day 1: Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua
The Bombay Hills signal the end of sprawling Auckland city as the lush
Waikato pasture lands take you past Hamilton and on to Waitomo caves.
Enjoy a subterranean boat ride under an eerie canopy of glow worm lights.
On across the Waikato and Mamaku Hills to fiery Rotorua. We recommend
you attend a delicious Maori hangi (feast) and concert tonight (optional).
Stay 2 nights in Rotorua
Day 2: At Rotorua
The half day grand sightseeing tour is included - see roaring geysers,
boiling mud and steaming pools at the thermal area, tame trout and Kiwi
at the springs and performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome. This afternoon
is free - there are many activities to attract you - such as bathing in
the thermal waters. For a small additional cost you could stay on a farm
tonight. Overnight in Rotorua
Day 3: Rotorua - Napier
Drive south through exotic pine forests, past Wairakei's permanent cover
of steam, to icy blue Lake Taupo. Here turn east, across the Ragitaiki
plains to Napier on the far east coast. Stay 2 nights.
Day 4: At Napier
After an earthquake in 1931, much of Napier was rebuilt in the unusual
Art Deco style - hence its title 'The Art Deco Capital'. This morning
is free to explore the town either alone or join an optional tour. In
the afternoon we have included a tour to 4 local vineyards and other highlights
of the region. Overnight Napier.
Day 5: Napier - Wellington
Travel by coach this morning alongside the Manawatu river, through the
Tararua mountains via the steep and scenic Manawatu Gorge and then into
fertile agricultural plains. A short trip down the rocky Kapiti coastline
brings you into Wellington, the Capital. We have included an evening tour
of some of Wellington's highlights - the unusual parliament buildings
'The Beehive', a cable car ride through the Botanic Gardens and some spectacular
harbour and city views. Wellington is a lively city with great shopping,
tasty restaurants and cafes and an varied night life of theatres, cinemas
and music venues. Overnight in Wellington.
Day 6: Wellington - Picton - Blenheim
Catch one of the famous ferries across wild Cook Strait then down the
long, narrow and beautiful Marlborough Sounds to Picton in the South Island.
Enjoy the sun decks, bars, cafes and lounges as you look out for dolphins
and whales. From Picton, a short coach trip takes you to Blenheim where
you join a comprehensive tour of vineyards producing world class wine.
Day 7: Blenheim - Nelson
The morning is free to explore Blenheim. In the afternoon, travel by coach
through the green valleys of the Richmond mountains to sunny Nelson. Stay
2 nights.
Day 8: At Nelson - Abel Tasman National Park Tour
Your full day tour of this beautiful park includes pick up and drop off
at your hotel. After a short coach journey, travel by launch (boat) from
the golden sands of Kaiteriteri beach into the park. Cruise through the
blue waters, next to lush native forests, marine life, and idyllic coves
and inlets. There are many opportunities to walk in the park before returning
to Nelson about 5 pm.
Day 9: Nelson - Greymouth
Travel south to Inangahua junction where you turn west. A thrilling drive
down the rocky chasm and green waters of the Buller Gorge brings you to
the West Coast. Your tour visits the Punakaiki 'pancake' rocks, an unusual
layer formation of sandstone pillars jutting out into the sea. From there
you are taken on an guided tour of the Paparoa National Park, featuring
weird limestone formations among spectacular scenery. You also hear about
local Maori myths and legends. Continue south to Greymouth for an overnight
stay.
Day 10: Greymouth - Glaciers
Travel south past surf beaches, wild rivers and dense forests. Your coach
will stop at various points - the Giant Matai Tree and tranquil and remote
lakes with a chance to see the beautiful Kotuku (white heron bird). Upon
reaching the Glaciers you will join a guided walk to the start of one
of these great ice rivers. Overnight at the Glaciers.
Day 11: Glaciers - Queenstown
Continue deeper into South Westland before the beautiful Haast River guides
us inland, past towering mountains and up wild river valleys. Over the
pass, cruise through the verdant forests of the Makarora valley to spectacular
lakes Wanaka and Hawea. Lake Dunstan and the steep and rugged Kawarau
Gorge goldmining area lead us into world famous Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown
for three nights stay. Overnight Queenstown.
Days 12 and 13: At Queenstown
Two full days for you to enjoy this fabulous resort - we have included
a half day wine tour and also the Skyline Gondola and the Kiwi Magic Movie
in your tour. There are dozens of optional activities as well - thrilling
jet boating on the rivers - white water rafting - helicopters through
the river chasms - A.J. Hackett's world famous bungy jumping - cruises

Day 14: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Te Anau
Drive alongside Lake Wakatipu to Kingston, then west to the great forests,
rivers and chasms of Fiordland National Park. Travel through the beautiful
ice carved Eglinton and Hollyford valleys, the Homer Tunnel and the awesome
Cleddau Canyon. A cruise on Milford Sound to see the majesty of Mitre
Peak, rising nearly a kilometre straight up out of the sea, and Bowen
Falls is included. Return to lovely Lake Te Anau for tonight's stay.
Day 15: Te Anau - Dunedin
High country tussock grass turns to green pastureland as you travel east
through Otago farmland. Reaching the coast at Balclutha turn north to
Dunedin - the Edinburgh of the South. The afternoon is free for optional
city tours, or perhaps to see the albatross and other wildlife on the
peninsula. Overnight Dunedin.
Day 16: Dunedin - Christchurch
The Southerner train takes you out along the cliffs past Mt Cargill to
the Palmerston coast. Travel through whitestone Oamaru and seaside Timaru
before the patchwork Canterbury plains, with its broad rivers and wide
open spaces brings you to Christchurch at 5.15 pm.

A full day for you to explore the capital city. We have included a half
day tour of some of the highlights, including the unusual parliament buildings
'The Beehive', Old St Paul's Cathedral, a cable car ride through the Botanic
Gardens and some spectacular harbour and city views. Wellington is a lively
city with great shopping, tasty restaurants and cafes, galleries and an
varied night life of theatres, cinemas and music venues. Don't forget
to visit the National museum - Te Papa. Overnight in Wellington.
Day 5: Wellington - Picton - Christchurch
Catch one of the famous ferries across wild Cook Strait then down the
long, narrow and beautiful Marlborough Sounds to Picton in the South Island.
Enjoy the sun decks, bars, cafes and lounges as you look out for dolphins
and whales. The COASTAL PACIFIC train takes you on an exciting ride down
the narrow coastal strip, with pounding surf on one side and the sheer
Kaikoura ranges on the other. A brief mountain traverse brings you down
to the broad Canterbury Plains and then the 'Garden City' - Christchurch.
Overnight in Christchurch
Day 6: Christchurch - Glaciers
The TranzAlpine train takes you out of the city and across the patchwork
Canterbury plains to the Southern Alps. A spectacular climb up the Waimakariri
River Gorge brings you to Arthur's Pass and the Otira tunnel. Your route
journeys through the magnificent valleys, rivers, forests and mountains
before reaching the West Coast. Travel south past surf beaches, wild rivers
and dense forests to the Glaciers for 2 nights stay. Overnight at the
Glaciers.
Day 7: At Fox or Franz Josef Glacier
A whole day is available for optional excursions on the glacier, for nature
walks or simply soaking up the beauty of snow-capped mountains contrasting
with the deep greens of the native forest. Overnight at the Glaciers.
Day 8: Glaciers - Wanaka
Continue deeper into South Westland before the beautiful Haast River guides
us inland, past towering mountains and up wild river valleys. Over the
pass, cruise through the lush forests of the Makarora valley to picturesque

Day 1: Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua

Day 2: At Rotorua
The half day sightseeing tour is included - see roaring geysers, boiling
mud and steaming pools at the thermal area, tame trout and Kiwi at the
springs and performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome. Your friendly hosts
will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to their home for
an overnight stay. This is a great opportunity to meet 'Kiwis' (New Zealanders)
in their own home, enjoy some traditional farm-style cooking and experience
some New Zealand culture and hospitality. Dinner and breakfast are included.
Day 3: Rotorua - Taupo - Manawatu
Drive south through exotic pine forests, past Wairakei's permanent cover
of steam, to Lake Taupo. The majestic snow covered peaks of Tongariro,
Ngaruahoe and Ruapehu mountains line your journey over the Desert Road
plateau. After Waiouru, drop down through the steep gorges then fertile
plains of the Rangitikei river then the Manawatu plains. Here, you are
met by your hosts who will take you to their home for another overnight
farmstay experience. Includes dinner and breakfast.
Day 4: Manawatu - Wellington
Your morning coach takes you through Palmerston North and past Massey
University before crossing the fertile agricultural plains to the Kapiti
Coast. A short trip along the rocky coastline brings you into Wellington,
the capital city, at 1.00 pm. In the afternoon, join a tour of some of
Wellington's highlights includidng the unusual parliament buildings 'The
Beehive', a cable car ride through the Botanic Gardens and some spectacular
harbour and city views. Wellington has an exciting and varied nightlife
with many restaurants, cafes, theatres and bars. Don't forget the National
museum 'Te Papa'. Overnight in Wellington.
Day 5: Wellington - Picton - Christchurch
Catch one of the famous ferries across Cook Strait then down the long,
narrow and beautiful Marlborough Sounds to Picton in the South Island.
Enjoy the sun decks, bars, cafes and lounges as you look out for dolphins
and whales. The TranzCoastal train takes you on an exhilarating ride down
the narrow coastal strip, with pounding surf on one side and the sheer
Kaikoura ranges on the other. A brief mountain traverse brings you down
to the checkerboard Canterbury Plains and then the 'Garden City' - Christchurch.
Overnight in Christchurch
Day 6: Christchurch - Dunedin
Travel today on the Southerner train. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as
you roll over the patchwork Canterbury plains to seaside Timaru. Continuing
south, plains meet the hills of Otago, the whitestone buildings of Oamaru,
and the jagged coastline of Palmerston. Finally, climb the cliffs around
Mt Cargill and drop down into Dunedin - the 'Edinburgh of the South'.
Arrive early afternoon. Time for optional activities - perhaps a trip
to see the albatross and other wildlife on the peninsula. Overnight in

Day 7: Dunedin and Milton
The morning is free for shopping, or visits to galleries, museums and
local attractions. In the afternoon, travel the short distance to Milton

Day 8: Milton - Te Anau
The morning is free for enjoying the country lifestyle. In the afternoon,
join your coach and travel through the rich, rolling farmland of Otago
and Southland before entering remote Fiordland. Stay at Lake Te Anau,
surrounded by ancient forests and magnificent snowy mountains.
Day 9: Te Anau - Milford Sound - Queenstown
The ice carved valleys of Fiordland National Park are the venue for today's
journey. First, the silent beech forests of the Eglinton and Hollyford

A boat cruise on Milford Sound taking you out to Mitre Peak, rising nearly

Day 5: Christchurch - Dunedin - Queenstown
Continuing south, plains meet the hills of Otago, the whitestone buildings
of Oamaru, and the jagged coastline of Palmerston. Finally, climb the
cliffs around Mt Cargill and drop down into Dunedin - the 'Edinburgh of
the South'. In the afternoon, turn inland to follow the mighty Clutha
river to the Southern alps, past Alexandra and Cromwell and Lake Dunstan.
Then, the rocky and spectacular Kawarau Gorge goldmining area brings you
to world famous Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown. Stay 3 nights in Queenstown.
Day 6: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown
Drive alongside Lake Wakatipu to Kingston, then west to the great forests,
rivers and ice carved chasms of Fiordland National Park. Travel through
the beautiful Eglinton and Hollyford valley beech forest, the Homer Tunnel
and the awesome Cleddau Canyon. A cruise on Milford Sound to see the majesty
of Mitre Peak, rising nearly a kilometre straight up out of the sea, and
Bowen Falls is included.
Day 7: At Queenstown

Tekapo, over Burke Pass to Geraldine, and on to Christchurch, where your

Day 1: Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua
The Bombay Hills signal the end of sprawling Auckland city as the lush
Waikato pasture lands take you past Hamilton and on to Waitomo caves.
Enjoy a subterranean boat ride under an eerie canopy of glow worm lights.
On across the Waikato and Mamaku Hills to fiery Rotorua. We recommend
you attend a delicious Maori hangi (feast) and concert tonight (optional).
Stay 2 nights in Rotorua
Day 2: At Rotorua
The half day grand sightseeing tour is included - see roaring geysers,
boiling mud and steaming pools at the thermal area, tame trout and Kiwi
at the springs and performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome. This afternoon
is free - there are many activities to attract you - such as bathing in
the thermal waters. For a small additional cost you could stay on a farm
tonight. Overnight in Rotorua
Day 3: Rotorua - Queenstown
You will be transferred to the airport to catch your spectacular scenic
flight across the volcanic central plateau, Cook Strait and down the Southern
Alps to Queenstown (Airfare not included - Pay on arrival at airport).
At Queenstown you will be transferred to your accommodation. Stay 3 nights
Queenstown.
Day 4: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown
Alongside Lake Wakatipu to Kingston, then cross country to Te Anau and
the beautiful ice carved Eglinton and Hollyford Valleys with their lush
beech forests. Through the Homer Tunnel and down the awesome Cleddau Canyon
before you cruise on magnificent Milford Sound, including Mitre Peak,

Day 1: Wellington - Picton - Christchurch
Catch one of the famous ferries across Cook Strait then down the long,
narrow and beautiful Marlborough Sounds to Picton in the South Island.
Enjoy the sun decks, bars, cafes and lounges as you look out for dolphins
and whales. The TranzCoastal train takes you on an exhilarating ride down
the narrow coastal strip, with pounding surf on one side and the sheer
Kaikoura ranges on the other. A brief mountain traverse brings you to
the broad Canterbury Plains and then the 'Garden City' - Christchurch.
Overnight in Christchurch.
Day 2: Christchurch - Glaciers
The TranzAlpine train takes you out of the city and across the patchwork
Canterbury plains to the Southern Alps. Climb the steep and scenic Waimakariri
river gorge to Arthur's Pass and the Otira tunnel. Wind through magnificent
valleys, forests, rivers and mountains before reaching the West Coast.
Travel south past surf beaches, rivers and dense forests to the Glaciers
for 2 nights stay. Overnight at the Glaciers.
Day 3: At Fox or Franz Josef Glacier
A whole day is available for optional excursions on the glacier, for nature
walks or simply enjoying the beauty of snow-capped mountains contrasting
with the deep greens of the native forest. Overnight at the Glaciers.
Day 4: Glaciers - Queenstown
Continue deeper into South Westland before the beautiful Haast River guides
us inland, past towering mountains and up wild river valleys. Over the
pass, cruise through the lush beech forest of the Makarora Valley to lakes
Wanaka and Hawea. Lake Dunstan and the steep and rugged Kawarau Gorge
historic goldmining area lead us into Queenstown, for 3 nights stay. Overnight
