The Intercity Coach Passes

Whether you want to explore all of New Zealand, or just the North or South Island, InterCity has a Coach Pass that will take you where you want to go, at your own pace and at a great value price!

InterCity Coach Passes -

  • are valid for three months from the first date of travel
  • are valid only in the region(s) covered by that pass
  • do not allow backtracking except for the return leg between Milford Sound and Queenstown on that pass
  • are only available on InterCity Coachlines services and not on private operator services
  • use some services operated by Newmans Coach Lines
  • are not transferable and cannot be extended
  • are non-refundable once travel has commenced
  • require booking confirmation from an InterCity booking agent, who may charge a £3.00 booking fee per sector
  • Cook Strait crossing extra

Information

Reporting time is 15 minutes before the departure of the coach and please ensure that you make yourself clearly visible to the coach driver at intermediate stops. All the times shown in the timetables are actual departure times except where indicated; and final destinations are shown as arrival times. Timetable changes of published services may be made at any time and please contact us for further details. All services have scheduled comfort and refreshment stops, although some night services may travel longer distances between stops.

Luggage - 2 pieces of luggage with a maximum of 25 kilos each are allowed for each person, free of change, any extra luggage, where space available, is charged at £10 per item. Please label luggage to your final destination, as we cannot accept responsibility for unlabelled luggage.

Carry On Items - For safety reasons each customer is limited to one item with a maximim of 5 kilos in weight, iif you are travelling with a baby you may take a collapsible pushchair or carrycot and one extra piece of luggage. Handbags, umbrellas, walking sticks and other aids are permitted. The driver will use his/her discretion to ensure of your, and your fellow passengers, comfort.

Larger Items such as bicycles and surfboards will be carried, subject to space availability (with a limit of 1 per person at a cost of £10 per item. In the interest of other traveller's luggage, all bicycles must have the pedals removed and the chain covered. Guide dogs are welcome on board. Under the provisions of the Smoke Free Environments Act (1990), coach services are required to be smoke-free, including on-board rest-rooms, where provided.

CoachNet New Zealand Ltd (CNZ), the operators of InterCity Coachlines, reserves the right to alter prices and timetables and to arrange alternative transport, routes or sightseeing services without notice. CoachNet products are sold subject to the conditions of the Carriage of Goods Act 1979, the terms and conditions published by the carrier and conditions printed on the ticket. CNZ and its agents are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the purchase or use of its products or services or the purchase or use of any third party's products or services.
