Qantas Walkabout fares offer flexibility and choice allowing you to see as much or as little of Australia and the world as you choose. Your airfare is determined by the route you travel to and from Australia (or New Zealand) & by how many stopovers you wish to take.

The Walkabout
This is the simplest fare that Qantas offer, allowing a straight forward return journey from the UK to Australia via any of their international routings. A stopover may be made in each direction either in the Far East (eg Singapore or Hong Kong), Japan or the USA. No other international stopovers are permited on this fare type. No flights within Australia are included but these can be purchased separately with the Walkabout Pass (see below).

World Walkabout
Designed for those who wish to make several international stops on the way to and from Australia, this fare permits up to 6 international stopovers (locations outside of Australia) in many destinations including Asia, the Far East, South Africa, USA, and the South Pacific, making this ideal for a round the world holiday. Please give us a call with an outline of your routing requirements and we will calculate the best fare for you.

Walkabout Pass (Domestic Australia Flights)
Australia is a big country, and as such, many tours and itineraries will require internal flights. The Walkabout Pass enables you to purchase up to 6 internal flights with your international ticket from just £45 - £149 per sector dependent on the routing (taxes and fees not included).

Domestic UK Flights
Domestic add-ons in the UK are available from most regional airports. Please request these at the time of booking so that you can take advantage of competitive fares only available to international passengers.

Payment
All Walkabout fare types must be paid for at the time of booking. Qantas permit changes to your dates of travel & routing once they have been paid for and ticketed, for a fee. Partial refunds may be available should you need to cancel, but this will depend on the fare booked. Please ask for full details from our reservations team.

Codeshare Flights
Please note that for some international sectors, especially on more complicated routings, your flight may be operated by one of Qantas’s codeshare partners (for example British Airways). In these instances the inflight facilities and services will differ from those described on page 12. Our reservations team will be able to tell you at enquiry stage which airline operates each sector.
