Enjoy a half-day guided trip through the wildlife-rich Moose Marsh, a gentle rafting float trip on the Fraser River, offering spectacular views of Mt. Robson, and a half-day nature tour, where you will learn more about the flora and fauna of the park. All activities emphasise nature observation and have a relaxed pace for those desiring an active, but not strenuous vacation. Just 90 minutes east of Toronto lies a luxurious wilderness retreat. But the real fun begins when you join a guided fishing excursion, go mountain biking, cruise the lake’s crystal waters by canoe, take an all-terrain vehide for a spin, and enjoy an authentic cowboy trail ride. Those wishing for a shorter adventure can strike out for unknown territory with a floatplane ride to a wilderness campsite. You will spend a day in search of bear, moose and other wildlife before returning to the resort.

PATHWAYS OF THE ALGONQUIN - Algonquin Park, Ontario

Hiking, canoeing. 3 Days / 2 nights

Fitness Level: Moderate (Canoe carrying required)

Day 1 - Toronto to Algonquin Provincial Park
After an early morning transfer to Algonquin Park your adventure begins with a hike to Surprise Lake, where you have picnic lunch. Then, climb into the 26-foot Voyageur canoe for an island hop to the Log Cabin Lodge. The evening will bring a Canadian dinner followed by a twilight excursion into the park for wildlife calls of loon and wolf. Overnight: Algonquin Log Cabin Lodge (LD)

Day 2 - Algonquin Provincial Park
An edible wilds walk for breakfast will take you to Lookout Bluff to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Algonquin lakes. Later in the day, you paddle to a campfire point to watch the sunset, build a bonfire and have dinner. Overnight: Algonquin Log Cabin Lodge (BLD)

Day 3 - Algonquin Provincial Park to Toronot
Breakfast will be a tasty maple syrup cookout on your return from moose viewing. The remainder of the morning will be spent in a Voyageur canoe. Return to the Lodge for a Canadian barbecue lunch and a bit of free time before driving back to Toronto to arrive by approx. 7pm. (BL)

The worlds largest population of Grizzly Bears is ready to welcome you to the Khutzeymateen Valley, a spectacular 29 klm fjord about 40 klm northeast of the port of Prince Rupert. This adventure carries you deep into this 44,000 hectare sanctuary of rugged fjords and old-growth forests for a wilderness encounter with mountain goat, marten, wolverine, porcupine, river otter, geese, beaver and seals. The remote village of Port Simpson and the fascinating town of Port Edward are also yours to discover on this exciting tour. Your stay also includes the use of a jet boat and a sunset sea kayaking exploration of the northern coastline.

Activities throughout the area include golf, boating, sailing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, nature tours and cultural attractions. This mini vacation allows you to spend 2 nights in Port Severn, located along the shores of Georgian Bay, before heading through the heart of Muakoka and Algonquin Park. Highlights include a boat cruise on Lake Muskoka aboard the historic MS Segwun and a guided day excursion into Algonquin Park.

Your Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Port Severn
Arrive independently into Port Severn, located on the edge of Georgian Bay (approximately 2 hours north of Toronto). Overnight at the Severn Lodge.

Day 2 Muskoka Exploring
Unwind, relax, play and enjoy the variety of activities. Explore some of the local attractions. Overnight at the Severn Lodge.

Day 3 Port Severn to Algonquin Park
Depart Severn Lodge and meander up through the Lake Muskoka region to Gravenhurst where you will take a lunch cruise along the lake aboard the MS Segwun (meal included). This ship is North America's oldest operating steamship built in 1887. Mid afternoon arrive at Killarney Lodge located in Algonquin Park. Overnight at the Killarney Lodge.

Day 4 Algonquin Park Exploring
Today, experience a day excursion into Algonquin Park with a wilderness guide. Learn about canoe making, go paddling on a lake, hike through the forest and learn all about Ontario's premier provincial park. Overnight at the Killarney Lodge.

Day 5 Tour Ends
Today your Muskoka experience comes to an end. lf you are heading for Toronto this journey will take approximately 3 hours.

Your Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Vancouver to Victoria
A coach and ferry transfer takes you from Vancouver to Victoria for a two night stay at the Harbour Towers Hotel

Day 2 Victoria & whale watching
Begin your day with a 11/2 hour sightseeing tour of Victoria, then later in the day enjoy a 3 hour whale watching tour by zodiac boat.*

Day 3 Salt Spring Island
Travel to Salt Spring Island where you will begin your cycling tour of this island and the Pender Islands. Overnight on Salt Spring Island.

Day 4 Victoria
End your cycling tour and return to Victoria in the late afternoon. Your final night is back at the Harbour Towers Hotel.

Day 5 Victoria to Vancouver
Your package ends with a transfer by seaplane from Victoria to Vancouver.
