2002 THE CALGARY STAMPEDE - YYCSSFC1

Duration: Daily 05Jul02-14Jul02
Highlights: The Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, universally acclaimed as a unique combination of the great Canadian West and the hospitable people who settled and inhabit Western Canada. Its best-known attraction is the World Championship of Chuckwagon Racing, an amazing contest of nerves and horsepower. Each afternoon, for three action-packed hours, the rough and rugged skills of the world's top professional cowboys present a world-class showcase of saddlebronc and bareback riding, calf roping and steer wrestling.

Each evening, nine heart-stopping chuckwagon races explode in an all-out dash to the finish - a challenge that ignites thousands of excited fans. This fantastic rodeo is a never-to-be-forgotten thrill of a lifetime. As the sun goes down, the Stampede prepares for yet another kind of action. Immediately following the chuckwagon races, hundreds of singers, dancers and musicians take over the gigantic stage for a high-powered entertainment extravaganza.
