Comfort Class
For
a shorter hop between two cities in the Quebec City to Windsor corridor,
nothing beats the Economy Class for convenience, comfort and affordability!
On board, you'll be comfortably ensconced in a large reclining seat with
ample legroom and headrest. You can stretch out your legs, read as much
as you want or enjoy a snooze.
On either side of the train there are huge, luminous
windows and down the centre, wide aisles, making passing easier. Don't
hesitate to ask a member of the staff for a snack or light refreshments
from the trolley service. Economy class offers multiple stopovers, so
you can get on and off the train as many times as you want. On trains
with baggage cars, you can check up to six items of baggage free of charge!
VIA 1: First Class
VIA 1 is truly a first-class experience and starts
with an attentive and friendly welcome at the Panorama Lounges in Montreal,
Ottawa or Toronto. After complimentary juice, coffee, newspapers and magazines,
settle back into a soft leather sofa and start your trip in the right
frame of mind. When the train is announced, just pick up your bags and
stroll out to your assigned seat as you have pre-boarding privileges.
Once on board the train, relax in the spacious and
stylish surroundings of the VIA 1 car. Appreciate the soothing colours
and the wide, reclining seats with extra cushioning and soft leather headrests.
Each seats has a fold-out tables and can be turned around to accommodate
a party of four travelling together.
Soon after the train starts moving, the attendant
comes around offering free refreshments and, on most trains, a full-course
hot meal. Morning passengers start their day with a hearty breakfast of
fruit salad, juice, eggs, light pastries and tea or coffee. Lunch and
dinner are accompanied by an aperitif and wine and are delicious three-course
meals with tempting starters, a choice of main courses, and salad, dessert
and a bread basket. In the evening, an after-dinner liqueur is the finishing
touch to a wonderful meal.
