Your Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 Toronto
Arrive in Toronto and transfer independently to your hotel. Collect your
full information kit from the front desk as you check in. The remainder
of the day is free for you to explore the city. Overnight in Toronto at
the Courtyard by Marriott
(Fairmont Royal York).
Day 2 Toronto
Discover Toronto on a city sightseeing tour. Highlights will include the
provincial Parliament Buildings, City Hall, Chinatown and much more. The
remainder of the day is free for you to explore, shop or just relax. Overnight
in Toronto at the Courtyard by Marriott (Fairmont Royal York).
Day 3 Niagara Falls Excursion
Enjoy a full day trip to Niagara Falls. Once at the Falls, board the Maid
of the Mist for a spectacular boat trip to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls.
Ample time will be allocated for you to admire the Falls. The return journey
includes a meal and a trip along the beautiful Niagara Parkway, through
the historic community of Niagara on the Lake to bring you back to Toronto
for the evening. Overnight in Toronto at the Courtyard by Marriott (Fairmont
Royal York).
Day 4 Toronto / VIA Rail
Transfer (not included) to the VIA Rail Station to board the Canadian
enroute to Western Canada. The journey takes you north from Toronto through
the picturesque Muskoka resort region and past Sudbury. Overnight on board
VIA Rails Canadian. Lunch and dinner are included.
Day 5 VIA Rail
By early evening, the train crosses the border into the province of Manitoba
and stops briefly in the capital, Winnipeg. Overnight on board VIA Rails
Canadian. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 6 VIA Rail / Jasper National Park
By early morning you will be approaching the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy the
spectacle of nature as the train enters Jasper National Park. On arrival
in Jasper, you will disembark and transfer (not included) to your hotel,
the Tonquin Inn (Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge). Breakfast and lunch are
included.
Day 7 Jasper to Banff
Today will be unforgettable as you travel the Icefields Parkway, one of
the most scenic roads in all of Canada. At the Columbia Icefield take
the opportunity to board a snocoach (not included) on to the surface of
Athabasca Glacier. Afterwards, continue to the charming resort town of
Banff. Overnight at the Travellers Inn (Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel).
Day 8 Banff
This morning discover the town of Banff and its natural surroundings on
a comprehensive sightseeing tour, sights will include, Surprise Corner,
Tunnel Mountain Drive, and the Cave and Basin. The remainder of the day
is at leisure. Overnight at the Travellers Inn (Fairmont Banff Springs
Hotel).
Day 9 Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
Today you will board the Rocky Mountaineer heading west to the Pacific
Coast. The route departs the Rockies through Kicking Horse Pass, then
climbs into the Selkirk Mountains following Rogers Pass. By late afternoon,
you are in interior British Columbia where you disembark for the night.
Overnight in Kamloops at the Executive Inn. Breakfast and lunch included.
Day 10 Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver
Your spectacular rail journey continues through the cowboy country
ranchland of British Columbia and along the mighty Thompson and Fraser
Rivers enroute to the coastal city of Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver
at the Empire Landmark (Fairmont Hotel Vancouver).
Day 11 Vancouver
Familiarise yourself with Vancouver on a morning city tour, highlights
include historic Gastown, nearby Chinatown, Stanley Park, English Bay
and much more. After the tour, the remainder of the day is free. Overnight
in Vancouver at the Empire Landmark (Fairmont Hotel Vancouver).
Day 12 Victoria Excursion
This full day trip to Victoria begins with a cruise through the scenic
Gulf Islands and includes a visit to the acclaimed Butchart Gardens. Afterwards,
continue to Victoria for a city sightseeing tour that includes Victorias
stately homes and gardens as well as historic landmarks. You will return
to Vancouver in the early evening. Overnight in Vancouver at the Empire
Landmark (Fairmont Hotel Vancouver).
Day 13 End of Tour
Sadly your tour ends today with the check out from your hotel.
