ESCORTED TOURS - 2008

Escorted tours are ideal for people who prefer to travel as part of a group with the reassurance of having a tour escort with them along the way. Sightseeing and photography stops are provided at regular intervals along with full commentary on the places you see along the way.

Escorted Tour Selection - We want to be certain that you will get the best possible enjoyment out of your holiday & have therefore selected tours which are operated by companies based in North America, and who will share their local knowledge and experience with you. All of our Canadian Tour partners have been operating escorted coach tours for over 20 Years.

The Tour Experience - Most of the tours featured in our brochure have been operated for many years, they have been researched in depth and have been modified over time to make sure that each one offers you the best touring experience in the particular region covered. Thousands of people have travelled on these tours, and many come back year after year to revisit their favourite places or to explore new territory.

Tour Directors - The tour directors on our tours are experts in their profession, and as most are Canadian born and bred they have a pride in their country. They will show you all the sights along the way and will provide historical and current facts on the places you see. They encourage a warm atmosphere amongst the group and will give you as much, or as little attention as you desire.

Tour Prices - To enable you to choose the airline and transfer services that are most convenient to you, the tour costs shown for each of our escorted tours do not include flight prices or airport transfers.

Flights - We can offer a range of flight options with both scheduled and charter airlines.
Air Canada & British Airways are our preferred scheduled airlines. They fly regular services (usually daily) to most Canadian cities.

We can also offer flights with Air Transat, Thomas Cook & My Travel. Their days of operation are not as frequent as the scheduled carriers (flights operate on fixed days per week and the frequency varies from once a week to 5 times per week).

The charter airlines are the most economical and offer the best value for money, however due to their schedules the dates of operation may not fit in with the dates of your tour. It is however possible to add extra days to the beginning or end of your holiday to fit in with the airline schedule.

Transfers in Canada - Transfers from your arrival & departure airport are included on selected tours (as indicated in the “Price Includes” box, shown with each tour). Where transfers are not included, these can easily be arranged, simply ask when making your reservation.

Private Transfers - This is the most convenient form of transfer. On arrival into Canada, a private vehicle will be reserved for your party and will be waiting for you at a pre-determined location outside the terminal building. Simply hand your voucher to the driver and they will take you directly to your hotel. For your return journey they will collect you from your hotel at a pre-determined time and take you directly to your departure terminal.

The cost of this transfer is determined by the size of your group, however they do represent excellent value for money and are by far the most convenient option.

Coach Transfers - All Canadian cities have airport transfer services, whereby coaches depart the airport terminal at regular intervals for the downtown area. By pre-booking your transfer you will receive a voucher which you simply hand to the coach driver and advise which hotel you wish to be dropped off at.

It should be noted that the transfer services do not service every downtown hotel, should you hotel not be served, you will be dropped at the nearest hotel.

Meal Inclusive Tours - Many of our escorted tours include meals. The tour itinerary clearly indicates if meals are included and if so, which ones. Breakfast and dinner will generally be at your hotel, lunches will be at a convenient en-route stop.

Luggage - Due to space limitations on board tour coaches, baggage allowance is limited to one suitcase per person plus one carry on bag. Please note that this may be a different allowance to your transatlantic flights and cruise allowance. Baggage handling for one suitcase per person at hotels is included in your tour price.

Children - Reservations cannot be accepted for children aged 10 and under as generally they do not enjoy this type of tour.

Extend your Stay - See more of your arrival or departure city by adding an extra one or more nights onto your tour. Alternatively your tour can be combined with any of the other arrangements shown in this brochure. Why not add a sightseeing or adventure package, or an Alaskan cruise.

Tour Timetable! - Due to the extensive sightseeing opportunities provided within your itinerary early morning departures and late evening arrivals may be necessary on certain tours.

Coaches - Smoking is not permitted on coaches or trains. Seats on coach tours are assigned on a ‘rotation’ basis, to allow everyone a variety of views.
