You’ll be awed by the natural wonder of surging rivers and the breath-taking power of Niagara Falls. Feel history come alive in North America’s only fortified city and be romanced by canal-lined cities, cobbled streets and the honeymoon capital of the world.

Day 1 - Toronto
Arrive at Pearson International Airport, Toronto and make your own way to your centrally located hotel. After checking in with your tour director, the remainder of the day is free. Overnight in Toronto at the Delta Chelsea Hotel.

Day 2 - Toronto
Become acquainted with your travelling companions at breakfast before exploring Toronto on a morning city tour. Experience the sights and sounds of this cosmopolitan city as you explore the downtown area and residential areas. Highlights include the Eaton Centre, old and new City Halls, Casa Loma, Yorkville and the University of Toronto The remainder of the day is free for independent exploration. Overnight at the Delta Chelsea Hotel.

Day 3 - Toronto to Montreal
Departing early this morning and follow the north shore of Lake Ontario past endless miles of rolling farmland. Your first destination is the beautiful Thousand Islands resort region, where you embark on a relaxing cruise. After taking in the sights and sounds of this river playground, re-board your tour coach for the drive to Montreal. Overnight in Montreal at the Delta Montreal

Day 4 - Montreal
This morning, you will tour the second-largest French-speaking city in the world. Touring the downtown area you will view the Olympic Complex, charming Old Montreal, McGill University, the residential streets of Mount Royal and the bustling shopping streets. The afternoon is at leisure Overnight at the Delta Montreal

Day 5 - Montreal to Quebec City
This morning, prepare to depart from Montreal’s cosmopolitan atmosphere and follow the route of Canada’s first carriageway, the Chemin du Roy, deep into French Canada. Upon arrival in Quebec City, tour within the walls of the old city and view Lower Town, the Citadel, Battlefields Park and the ornate city gates. Overnight in Quebec City at the Delta Quebec.

Day 6 - Quebec City
The day is at leisure to further explore the sights of this charming World Heritage Site. Or you can join an optional full day excursion to Tadoussac including a 3-hour whale watching tour on the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Saguenay River (cost not included). Overnight in Quebec City at the Delta Quebec.

Day 7 - Quebec City to Ottawa
Following the north shore of the St. Lawrence, this morning you will motor west, past Montreal, across the Ontario border, and on to Ottawa, the nation’s capital. Stop for lunch along the way at the Sucrerie de la Montagne, an authentic sugar shack and pioneer-style restaurant. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Ottawa at the Delta Ottawa

Day 8 - Ottawa
Following the Turtle Island aboriginal experience breakfast on Victoria Island, enjoy a tour of this lovely city. View the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Rideau Canal (designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site) and much more. The afternoon is free to relax or explore. Overnight at the Delta Ottawa.

Day 9 - Ottawa to Midland
Your journey west from Ottawa features sparkling lakes, rushing streams, deep forests and characteristic northern towns. The trip will be highlighted by a visit to Algonquin Provincial Park where you will take a walk along the scenic trails. Soon you will enter the Muskoka resort region, your destination for the night. Overnight in Midland at the Best Western Highland Inn or similar.

Day 10 - Midland to Niagara Falls
This morning, travel to Sainte-Marie among the Hurons for breakfast. This fascinating three acre historic site is a detailed reconstruction of the first inland European community in Canada. Next, you will drive south past Toronto and then through the orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula with a final destination of Niagara Falls. A thrilling boat ride on the Maid of the Mist. Overnight in Niagara Falls at the Sheraton Fallsview

Day 11 - Niagara Falls to Toronto
Before you leave Niagara Falls this morning, you will take a ride to the top of the Skylon Tower providing a spectacular view of the falls and the surrounding district of Niagara. Afterwards, your drive follows the scenic Niagara Parkway through the historic village of Niagara on the Lake before continuing back to Toronto. Overnight at the Delta Chelsea Hote.

Day 12 - End of Tour
A time for last-minute shopping and sad farewells. Make your own way Individual transfer to Toronto Airport in time to check in for your return flight

On this Eastern Journey you will discover Canada’s unbeatable mix of Old World Charm and vibrant urban pleasures. You will explore many of the famous sights and cities, from Toronto & Niagara Falls to the capital city of Ottawa, before heading along the St Lawrence River towards the French-speaking province of Quebec.

Day 1 - Toronto
Arrive into Toronto and make your own way to your centrally located hotel. After checking in with your Tour Director the remainder of the day is free for you to relax or explore. Overnight at the Days Hotel Downtown.

Day 2 - Niagara Falls Excursion
This morning meet your fellow travellers at a Welcome to Canada breakfast before setting out on a sightseeing tour of the city. Highlights will include the waterfront, the CN Tower and Chinatown. Then you leave the city and travel the Niagara Peninsula, through the enchanting Victorian town of Niagara-on-the-Lake to Niagara Falls. Ample time is allocated to admire the falls and take part in some of Niagara Falls numerous activities. Don’t forget your camera to capture the spectacular views! Overnight at the Days Hotel Downtown. (Meals included: breakfast).

Day 3 - Toronto to Ottawa
Today you leave the Toronto skyline behind and drive east along the shores of Lake Ontario to the former capital of Upper Canada, Kingston. On arrival in Ottawa, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the national capital, sights include government buildings on Parliament Hill, the public gardens, the Byward Market and City Hall. Overnight in Ottawa at the Embassy West Hotel or Travelodge Ottawa West (Meals included: breakfast)

Day 4 - Ottawa to Quebec City
This morning you will travel along the scenic Ottawa River to the French-speaking province of Quebec. Today’s journey ends in Quebec’s cultural heartland, Quebec City. Enjoy a tour within the walls of the old city and view the ornate city gates, Lower Town, the Citadel and Battlefields Park. Overnight in Quebec City at the Hotel Classique Ste Foy or Hotel Ambassadeur or similar. (Meals included: breakfast)

Day 5 - Quebec City
The day is at your leisure to further explore the sights of this charming World Heritage Site. Alternatively you can enjoy an optional full day excursion to Tadoussac including 3 hours of whale watching on the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Saguenay River aboard a regular boat or a Zodiac. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore this historic French-Canadian city with narrow streets and unique boutiques. Overnight in Quebec City at the Hotel Classique Ste Foy or Hotel Ambassadeur or similar. (Meals included: breakfast).

Day 6 - Quebec City to Montreal
Departing from Quebec City you will travel along the St. Lawrence River in the footsteps of the early settlers. Upon arrival in Montreal, tour the second-largest French-speaking city in the world. Touring the downtown area view the Olympic Complex, charming Old Montreal, McGill University, the residential streets of Mount Royal and the bustling shopping streets. Overnight in Montreal at the Hotel Lord Berri or similar. (Meals included: breakfast).

Day 7 - Montreal to Toronto
Today’s route takes you back to the shores of Lake Ontario. En route pass the beautiful Thousand Island region. Soon the impressive Toronto skyline will appear on the horizon. You will have ample time to explore Toronto’s colourful neighbourhood and to sample some of the city’s great restaurants and wonderful entertainment. Overnight at the Days Hotel Downtown. Day 8 - End of Tour
The time has come for some last minute shopping and to say farewell to Canada. Your tour ends with the checkout from your hotel.

Day 1 - Halifax
Make your way to your centrally located hotel. Overnight at the Citadel Halifax Hotel or similar.

Day 2 - Halifax
Enjoy a Deluxe Historic City Tour this morning and see
the highlights of Halifax. The afternoon is free to further explore this delightful seaside city. Overnight at the Citadel Halifax Hotel or similar.

Day 3 - Halifax to Digby
Discover the rustic charm of the famous fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. It’s then on to Grand Pre and the lush Annapolis Valley and Champlain’s Habitation, Canada’s oldest permanent settlement. In Digby you will overnight at the 300 Acre - Pines Resort* - overlooking the Bay of Fundy - home of the world’s highest tides. *July 06 departure may stay at the Old Orchard Inn. (Meals included: breakfast, dinner).

Day 4 - Digby to Saint John
The morning is at leisure to enjoy the resort. Then you board the “Princess of Acadia” to sail across the Bay of Fundy to New Brunswick. Arrive in Canada’s fascinating “Loyalist City”, Saint John to visit the Reversing Falls Rapids and see a few sights before checking in to the Delta Brunswick Hotel or similar. (Meals included: breakfast)

Day 5 - Saint John to Charlottetown
Your guided tour continues through Fundy National Park to Hopewell Rocks where you can walk on the ocean floor at low tide. After lunch, cross to Prince Edward Island on the new Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge and travel to Charlottetown. End the day with a traditional Lobster Supper (meat alternative available). Overnight at Rodd Charlottetown Hotel or similar.

Day 6 - Prince Edward Island
Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown. Your included afternoon tour begins with a tour of Charlottetown, Canada’s Birthplace. Lucy Maud Montgomery describes the scenery in her “Anne of Green Gables” books, visit the home of “Green Gables”. (If you prefer not to join us on this afternoon tour, enjoy a free day at leisure or perhaps play a local golf course). *Arrivals in June, July, August and September (where schedule permits) enjoy a bonus…this evening attend the musical “Anne” at the Charlottetown. End the day with a traditional Lobster Supper (meat alternative available). Festival (Included)

Day 7 - Charlottetown to Baddeck
Take the ferry to Nova Scotia, and then proceed to Cape Breton Island - “the Scotland of America.” Visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck to marvel at the many accomplishments of this genius. Spend two nights at a lakeside resort in the heart of Baddeck. (Meals included : Breakfast, dinner).

Day 8 - Cabot Trail
You’re off to experience one of the prettiest drives in North America, the Cabot Trail. In Pleasant Bay, enjoy a whale watching boat tour (weather permitting). The Cape Breton Highlands National Park is next, as you wind along the ribbon of highway where the mountains meet the sea. Tonight there is a “Farewell” dinner. Overnight in Baddeck. (Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner).

Day 9 - Baddeck to Halifax
The Fortress of Louisbourg awaits you. The reconstruction recreates one fifth of the town of 1744 - words will not do justice to the scope of this tribute to New France. Roam the streets talking with some of the costumed guides who remain in character, or sample the sustenance of the era. Your tour continues along the shores of Bras d’Or to the mainland. The last night is at the Citadel Halifax Hotel or similar. (Meals included: breakfast)

Day 10 - Depart Halifax
Sadly this is the end of your tour. Make your own way to the airport in time to check in for your return overnight flight back to the UK.
