Day 1 Arrive Melbourne

On arrival at Melbourne Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore cosmopolitan Melbourne. This evening you may choose to dine on-board the popular Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. Overnight at your selected hotel.

 

Day 2 Great Ocean Road

Travel along the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay. View the stone monoliths of the Twelve Apostles, the Loch Ard Gorge shipwreck site and the remains of the rock formation known as London Bridge. Return to Melbourne for your overnight stay. (Meals included: Breakfast).

 

Day 3 Melbourne to Adelaide*

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Melbourne including the Fitzroy Gardens, Royal Botanic Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance. This afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Adelaide (*flights to depart after 3.00pm, airfare not included). Overnight in Adelaide at your selected hotel. (Meals included: Breakfast).

 

Day 4 Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

Enjoy a scenic drive through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis to board the ferry to Kangaroo Island. Walk among the nation’s third largest and most accessible colony of Australian Sea-Lions, as they doze in the sun after lengthy fishing forays in the Southern Ocean, at the popular Seal Bay Conservation Park. Overnight on Kangaroo Island at your selected hotel. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch).

 

Day 5 Kangaroo Island to Adelaide

Tour Kelly Hill Caves, the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch and see fur seals within Flinders Chase National Park. This afternoon return to Adelaide for your overnight stay. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch).

 

Day 6 Adelaide to Alice Springs*

You will be transferred to Adelaide Airport for your flight to Alice Springs (*airfare not included - flight should arrive by 1pm). On arrival at Alice Springs Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. Later tour the sights of The Alice including the historic Telegraph Statioon, Royal Flying Doctor Server and School of Air. Stop at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where you can see unique Australian reptiles. Your tour ends with a panoramic view from from Anzac Hill. Overnight in Alice Springs at your selected hotel. (Meals included: breakfast).

 

Day 7 Palm Valley

Join a 4-Wheel-Drive safari through the West MacDonnell Ranges into Palm Valley. Return to Alice Springs for your overnight stay. (Meals included: breakfast, lunch).

 

Day 8 Alice Springs to Ayers Rock

Travel south through the MacDonnell and James Ranges to Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon your guide will escort you to the Uluru viewing area, here you will enjoy complimentary sparkling wine as you take in the outback sunset and later an Aussie barbecue dinner. Overnight at Ayers Rock Resort at your selected hotel. (Meals included: breakfast, dinner).

 

Day 9 Kings Canyon

Drive through sandhill country into Watarrka National Park where you can make the rocky climb with your guide to the rim of Kings Canyon. Or you may wish to explore the canyon floor, an easier walk. Overnight at Ayers Rock Resort. (Meals included: breakfast).

 

Day 10 Ayers Rock to Darwin*

Travel to the sunrise viewing area at Uluru and watch the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert plains. Transfer to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight to Darwin (*airfare not included - flight to depart after 12 noon), where on arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Darwin. (Meals included: breakfast).

 

Day 11 Darwin to Kakadu

Travel deep into Kakadu National Park. Visit Nourlangie Rock and cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong. Overnight at Kakadu. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch).

 

Day 12 Kakadu to Darwin

Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River in search of saltwater crocodiles. Continue to Ubirr for a guided walk to see rock art. Later, visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. Return to Darwin for your overnight stay. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch). 

 

Day 13 Darwin to Cairns*

You will be transferred to Darwin Airport for your flight to Cairns (*airfare not included). On arrival at Cairns Airport you will be transferred to your hotel for your overnight stay. (Meals included: Breakfast)

 

Day 14 Kuranda Excursion

Join the Kuranda train and journey to Kuranda. Return on the Skyrail Cableway. Visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, where legends of the Dreamtime are brought to life. Return to Cairns for your overnight stay. (Meals included: Breakfast).

 

Day 15 Great Barrier Reef Excursion

Cruise on the Great Adventures high-speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef. View the coral and fish from a semi submersible vessel. Snorkelling gear is included (extra charge for scuba). Included is a tropical buffet lunch. Overnight in Cairns. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch).

 

Day 16 Cairns to Sydney*

You will be transferred to Cairns Airport for your flight to Sydney (*airfare not included). On arrival at Sydney Airport you will be transferred to your hotel to check in for your 3 night stay. (Meals included: Breakfast).

 

Day 17 Sydney

This morning see the Sydney Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens and Kings Cross. Visit famous Bondi Beach, then return to the city for a Sydney Harbour luncheon cruise. Cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge and stop at Milsons Point to photograph fabulous views of the city skyline. Later, visit Manly surf beach, before returning to the city. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch).

 

Day 18 Sydney

Today is at leisure to explore Sydney. Perhaps take an optional tour to the Blue Mountains or the Hunter Valley to sample some of the local wines (excursions not included). (Meals included: Breakfast).

 

Day 19 Depart Sydney

Your tour ends today. You will be transferred to Sydney Airport to connect with your onward flight. (Meals included: Breakfast).
