Day 1 Sydney to Canberra

Depart Sydney at 8.00am and travel via the Southern Highlands with a stop at historic Berrima, famous for its gaol. Visit a working sheep farm and enjoy an Aussie barbecue lunch. Arrive at Canberra and tour Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial. This evening meet your fellow travellers at a welcome drink & dinner. Overnight at Novotel Canberra. (Meals included: lunch, dinner)

Day 2 Snowy Mountains

Visit Cooma and the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme plus the option to ride on the Mt. Kosciuszko chairlift to Australia's highest point. Visit the stunning Kosciuszko National Park, home to mobs of kangaroos, as you travel the Alpine Way, over Murray River into Victoria. Overnight in Beechworth in unique Boutique Bed & Breakfast accommodation. (Meals included: Breakfast)

Day 3 Melbourne

Enjoy a tour of Beechworth with some free time to explore its bakery, antique shops and galleries. Later visit the historic Glenrowan and sample some wines and travel through Ned Kelly country to cosmopolitan Melbourne. Tonight’s optional dinner is in the distinctive Colonial Tram Car Restaurant. Overnight at the Crowne Plaza, Melbourne. (Meals included: Breakfast)

Day 4 Melbourne (Day at leisure)

Today Melbourne you'll have time to discover the city, or if you want to get out of town you can take a tour to Phillip Island's Little Penguins, the Yarra Valley wineries or Sovereign Hill's goldmine. (Excursions not included). Overnight at the Crowne Plaza, Melbourne. (Meals included: Breakfast)

Day 5 Great Ocean Road

Journey along famous Great Ocean Road. Stop at surfingmecca Torquay, world famous Bells Beach, and the amazing Twelve Apostles, before finishing the day in the whale watching capital of Warrnambool. Overnight at the Country Comfort, Warrnambool. (Meals included: Breakfast, dinner).

Day 6 Coonawarra

Travel to Tower Hill State Game Reserve, a native wildlife haven located in a dormant volcano before you continue through picturesque Port Fairy, and over the border to South Australia. Skirt the Lower Glenelg National Park into Mount Gambier for a city tour and see spectacular and mysterious Blue Lake. Overnight at the Chardonnay Lodge, Coonawarra. (Meals included: Breakfast, dinner)

Day 7 Coonawarra

Travel through Meningie, located on the shores of Lake Albert, en route to Adelaide, where you'll take a city tour. The afternoon is yours to explore the gorgeous City of Churches. Overnight at the Intercontinental, Adelaide. (Meals included: Breakfast).

Day 8 Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

Visit seaside Glenelg before continuing on to the picturesque coastal village of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Here you'll have some free time to explore, maybe take a walk to Granite Island and see some sensational coastal views. Next you travel by ferry to Kangaroo Island for a two-night stay. Tonight enjoy dinner at the Aurora Ozone Hotel, overlooking the spectacular Backstair Passage. Overnight at the Aurora Ozone Hotel, Kangaroo Island. (Meals included: Breakfast, dinner).

Day 9 Kangaroo Island

Today you will explore Kangaroo Island! At Seal Bay you'll take a guided tour along the beach among the Australian Sea Lions. Experience more great photo opportunities at the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch and do some koala, wallaby and kangaroo spotting at Flinders Chase National Park. Overnight at the Aurora Ozone Hotel, Kangaroo Island. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Day 10 Depart Adelaide

This morning cruise by ferry back to Cape Jervis then on to elegant Adelaide. You will be transferred to Adelaide Airport for your onward flight. (Meals included : Breakfast)
