Rental Rates

Rentals are calculated per calendar day, therefore the pick up or drop off day is always counted as a full rental day irrespective of what time it is collected or dropped off. We recommend that to gain the best value from your rental you collect your vehicle as early as possible on the first day, and return it by 4pm on the final day (subject to depot opening times).

Rental Period

The minimum rental period is 7 days (extended to 10 days between 20 Dec 11 – 05 Jan 12). Extended minimum rental periods also applies to certain one-way routings, please ask our reservations team.

One Way Rentals

A minimum rental period of between 7 & 21 days applies to all one-way rentals. The minimum duration is dependent upon your pick up and drop off locations. Details are available from our reservations consultants. A one way drop fee of $350 applies to all one-way rentals that are less than 20 days in duration. All one-way rentals must be agreed in advance of your arrival, should you wish to change the drop off location after collection of your vehicle, you must first obtain approval from the destination branch and once approval is given an additional fee of $750 will be charged.

Rental Locations

Kea have depots in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome*, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth & Sydney. *Please note all rentals to or from Broome (or both) are subject to a remote location fee of $750 payable locally.

Driver Requirements

A valid full (non-provisional) driving license is required. Non- English national driving licenses will need to be presented with an official translation or valid international driving license. The minimum age for drivers is 21 years, maximum age is 85 years.

Collection and Return

Rental locations open at 8am daily and close at 5pm Monday to Friday and 1pm on weekends (all depots are closed on Christmas Day). Vehicles should be returned one hour before the closing time, and we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes for the collection process. Vehicles must be returned on the agreed date to the agreed location in a clean condition. Waste tanks should be empty and the fuel tank full. All equipment should be intact. Fees will be charged for vehicle not returned in a satisfactory condition. RENTAL INFORMATION

Kea All-Inclusive Platinum Package

We highly recommend you purchase the Kea All-Inclusive Platinum Package.

You will receive all of the following inclusions in addition to those stated above;

- Full insurance cover (with nil-excess) on any vehicle and third party damage, including windscreen and tyre cover.

- One way drop fee if applicable (excludes Broome $750 remote service charge)

- Tables, chairs and sun umbrella

- Multi Lingual GPS navigation system

- Baby / child seats (on request)

Additional Equipment Hire
