Lizard Island Resort

Hayman Island is ideally located in the magnificent Whitsunday Islands. Situated on the southerly palm-fringed shore of the island, Hayman Island Resort is fronted by a sweeping beach and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. The resort is the only facility on the island and all buildings have been designed to blend in with the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Location

Hayman Island is located 33 kilometres (20.5 miles) due east of Australia's North Queensland coast, nestled between the coast and the Great Barrier Reef in Whitsunday passage. The closest major mainland location is Townsville or Cairns.

How to Get There

Hayman launches meet flights arriving at Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island Airport), launch time from here to Hayman is approximately 55 minutes. Hayman also operates a twice daily service from Shute Harbour which is on the mainland close to Airlie Beach. The travel time from Shute Harbour to Hayman is approximately 50 minutes. A range of activities are available, including resort pools, water sports including catamaran sailing, paddle skiing and windsurfing, water skiing, sea kayaking, golf plus much more. Hayman offers elegant resort living in 210 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, penthouses and a beach villa situated within Retreat, Pool, Lagoon and Beachfront Wings. Designed to take advantage of the magnificent resort surrounds, all Hayman accommodation features private terraces or balconies.
