Introduction

The Sunlander is one of Australia's most endearing rail journeys, weaving its way along Australia's incredible north-eastern coastline several times a week. It's a relaxing journey that runs between Queensland's tropical capital, Brisbane, and laid back Cairns, where the Great Barrier Reef meets the timeless Daintree wilderness.

Accommodation

Sunlander Class
Two types of sleeping accommodation are available in single and twin berth compartments. All compartments feature a washbasin, wardrobe, full bedding and towels. Toilets and showers are located at the end of each carriage. Club Car - the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy a social drink in the comfortable surrounds. Buffet Car - offers a variety of takeaway meals and light refreshments, bar service, tea and coffee.

Queenslander Class
Queenslander Class provides first-class accommodation & exceptional service. Passengers are accommodated in twin berth sleeping compartments offering all the comforts of home and receive the highest levels of service from the dedicated team of onboard staff. There is a relaxing lounge car ideal for a drink and chat with new friends, and a restaurant car, which is the setting for the journey’s exceptional dining experience. Every tantalising meal aboard Queenslander Class, prepared by an experienced onboard chef, has a distinctly Australian flavour.

Luggage Information

Due to cabin space constraints, it is recommended guests take an 'overnight bag' containing all requirements for their journey with them in their cabin and check-in all other luggage. Guests are permitted to check-in a maximum 40kg luggage free of charge (2 items not exceeding 20kg each). Note: Checked-in luggage cannot be accessed during the journey.
