A fascinating 10 day tour that takes you from Sydney, through Canberra and onto Melbourne & Adelaide. Highlights along the way include the Snowy Mountains, the Great Ocean Road, viewing the remarkable Twelve Apostles & a two night stay on Kangaroo Island.
Day 1 - Sydney to
Canberra
Depart Sydney at 8.00am and begin your journey to the nation's
capital via the Southern Highlands with a stop at historic Berrima,
famous for its gaol, a visit to a working sheep farm and an
Aussie barbecue lunch. Travelling onwards to Canberra, tour
through Parliament House and visit the Australian War Memorial
before enjoying a Welcome Drink and dinner with your Tour Director
and fellow travellers Overnight at the Olims Hotel, Canberra.

Day 2 - Snowy Mountains
Cooma and the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme start your day, before
you get the option to take a ride on the Mt. Kosciuszko chairlift
and experience Australia's highest point! You'll be awestruck
by the stunningly picturesque Kosciuszko National Park - home
to mobs of kangaroos as you travel the Alpine Way, over
the mighty Murray River into Victoria and beautiful Beechworth
for your unique overnight stay in one of the Bed & Breakfast
properties. Overnight at Boutique Country Accommodation, Beechworth.

Day 3 - Melbourne
Get to know Beechworth with a tour and some free time to explore
its legendary Bakery, antique shops and galleries. Later
you'll see the museum and sample some wines at the historic
Baileys of Glenrowan Winery, established in the 1860's, then
it's on through Ned Kelly country to the culturally diverse
and totally cosmopolitan Melbourne. Tonights optional
dinner is onboard the distinctive Colonial Tram Car Restaurant.

Day 4 - Melbourne (Day at leisure)
Today Melbourne is all yours to explore. You'll have time to
discover some of the secrets of this exceptional city, or if
you want to get out of town you can take a tour to Phillip Island's
Little Penguins, the Yarra Valley's wineries or Sovereign Hill's
goldmine. (Excursions not included). Overnight at the Swanston
Hotel Grand Mercure, Melbourne. (Meals included: Breakfast)
Day 5 - Great Ocean
Road
Today you will journey along one of the world's great roads
- The Great Ocean Road. Youll get plenty of photo opportunities
including stops at surfing- mecca Torquay, world famous Bells
Beach, a visit to the amazing Twelve Apostles, before finishing
the day in the whale watching capital of Warrnambool. Overnight
at the Country Comfort, Warrnambool. (Meals included: Breakfast,
dinner).
Day 6 - Mt. Gambier
Tower Hill State Game Reserve is a native wildlife haven located
in a dormant volcano and it's your first stop today, before
you continue through picturesque Port Fairy, and over the border
to South Australia. Skirt the Lower Glenelg National Park into
Mount Gambier for a city tour and stop to look at the spectacular
and mysterious Blue Lake. Overnight at the Quality Inn International,
Mt. Gambier. (Meals included: Breakfast, dinner)
Day 7 - Mt. Gambier
to Adelaide
Travelling through Millicent head to the amazing Coorong National
Park. Here you'll take a guided bush walk with a local Aboriginal
guide. Later it's through Meningie, located on the shores of
Lake Albert, en route to Adelaide, where you'll take a city
tour. The afternoon is yours to explore the gorgeous "City
of Churches". Overnight at the Stamford Plaza, Adelaide.

Day 8 - Adelaide
to Kangaroo Island
Visit seaside Glenelg before continuing on to the picturesque
coastal village of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Here you'll have some free time to explore, maybe take a walk
to Granite Island and see some sensational coastal views. Next
you travel by ferry to Kangaroo Island for a two-night stay.
Tonight enjoy dinner at the Ozone Seafront Hotel, overlooking
the spectacular Backstair Passage. Overnight at the Ozone Seafront
Hotel, Kangaroo Island. (Meals included: Breakfast, dinner).
Day 9 - Kangaroo Island
Today you will explore Kangaroo Island! At Seal Bay you'll take
a guided tour along the beach among the Australian Sea Lions.
Experience more great photo opportunities at the Remarkable
Rocks and Admiral's Arch and do some koala, wallaby and kangaroo
spotting at Flinders Chase National Park. Overnight at the Ozone
Seafront Hotel, Kangaroo Island. (Meals included: Breakfast,
lunch, dinner).
Day 10 - Depart Adelaide
This morning cruise by ferry back to Cape Jervis then on to
elegant Adelaide. You will be transferred to Adelaide Airport
for your onward flight. (Meals included: Breakfast)

Highlights include a two-night stay at Ayers Rock Resort with numerous opportunities to visit and learn more about Uluru. A two-night stay at the exclusive Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge located in Kings Creek Station is an experience that will be long remembered.
Day 1 - Arrive Alice
Springs
On arrival in Alice Springs a transfer will be provided to your
hotel. This afternoon enjoy a tour of Alice Springs including
a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Base. This evening, get to
know your fellow travellers over welcome drinks at your hotel.
Overnight at Alice Springs Resort.
Day 2 - Alice Springs to Uluru (Ayers Rock)
This morning tour to the remote Rainbow Valley area for spectacular
views and photographic opportunity of the famous sandstone bluffs
and free standing weathered cliffs that form part of the James
Range. Continue past Atila (Mt Conner), remains of ancient Central
Australian ranges and a significant aboriginal site. Tonight view
the sunset with drinks & gourmet nibbles, followed by a gourmet
BBQ dinner close to the base of Ayers Rock. Overnight at Desert
Gardens Hotel. (Meals included: breakfast, dinner).
Day 3 - Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Rise early for Uluru sunrise viewing (optional). The more energetic
may walk around the base of Uluru or climb the monolith after
sunrise. Tour to Uluru, for a guided walk to Mutijulu, a permanent
spring then visit the painted caves of the Mala people, and learn
about they lived and prepared for ceremonies at the base of Uluru.
Tour around the base of Uluru and learn about the Aboriginal cultural
importance of the monolith. Visit to the Uluru Cultural Centre
and learn about the history, environment and Aboriginal culture.
Overnight at Desert Gardens Hotel. (Meals included: breakfast)
Day 4 - Uluru to Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge
Re-enter the national park and tour to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas).
Enjoy panoramic views of the domes and walk into Walpa (Olga Gorge).
Travel to Kings Creek Station this afternoon to reach the exclusive
Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge, located in an exclusive part of
the station amongst the desert oak trees that are unique to the
region. Dinner is gourmet Australian cuisine prepared by your
chef and enjoyed around the campfire, under the magnificent stars
of southern sky. Overnight at the King Canyon Wilderness Lodge,
luxury tented cabin accommodation. (Meals included: breakfast,
dinner).
Day 5 - Kings Creek
Station
Enter Watarrka National Park located at the western end of the
George Gill Range, the scenic landscape of rugged ranges, rock
holes and gorges is home to many plants and animals. This afternoon
tour the station and learn about station life in an arid environment.
The remainder of the afternoon is free to relax. Tonight enjoy
sunset drinks before dinner. Overnight at the King Canyon Wilderness
Lodge in luxury tented cabin accommodation. (Meals included: breakfast,
lunch, dinner)
Day 6 - Kings Creek Station to Alice Springs
Travel along the rugged Mereenie track to Tnorala (Gosse Bluff)
Conservation Reserve. Stop at Glen Helen for a short walk to the
gorge and visit Ormiston Gorge. The region is part of the Western
MacDonnell National Park and home to a number of relict plants
from a tropical past and endangered wildlife. Stop at the Ocre
Pits, a site Aboriginal have mined coloured ocres for centuries,
before your arrival into Alice Springs. Overnight at Alice Springs
Resort. (Meals included: breakfast).
Day 7 - Alice Springs
& Area Sightseeing
Travel through the Western MacDonnell ranges to Finke Gorge National
Park and follow and the ancient Finke River into Palm Valley,
home to a diverse range of plant species. Stop at Historic Hermannsburg
founded by the Lutheran Missionaries. Walk through the art gallery
and learn about the history of some world renowned Aboriginal
artists. Overnight at Alice Springs Resort. (Meals included: breakfast,
lunch).
Day 8 - End of Tour
Enjoy a morning at leisure before transferring to the airport

A comprehensive journey from the northern city of Darwin, through the western regions to Perth. Highlights of the tour are many, but sure to linger in your memory are visits to Katherine Gorge, the outback station of El Questro, Nigaloo Reef and Monkey Mia.
Day 1 - Arrive
Darwin
On arrival in Darwin you will be transferred to your hotel.
This afternoon join a tour of the city, including a visit
to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with your Tour Director
and fellow travelling companions. Overnight at the Saville
Pandanas, Darwin. (Meals included: Dinner).
Day 2 - Darwin to Katherine Gorge
Today you begin your journey south towards Katherine. Highlights
include a visit to the Adelaide River War Cemetery and an
afternoon enjoy a cruise through spectacular Katherine Gorge.
Overnight at the Paraway Motel, Katherine. (Meals included:
Breakfast, dinner).
Day 3 - Katherine Gorge to Kununurra
This morning you will visit the historic Durack Homestead
before travelling to to Lake Argyle, Australias largest
man-made lake. Enjoy a cruise on the Ord River. Your destination
is picturesque Kununurra, one of the youngest towns in Western
Australia and the hub of local industry for agriculture,
tourism and mining in the east Kimberley. Overnight at the
Country Club Hotel, Kununurra. (Meals included: Breakfast,
dinner).
Day 4 - Kununurra
Tour the region around Kunumurra, here you can see the results
of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme, Hidden Valley National
Park and admire the views of the region from Kellys
Knob Lookout. Overnight at the Country Club Hotel, Kununurra.
(Meals included: Breakfast, dinner).
Day 5 - Kununurra
to El Questro
This morning travel to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve. See
the bird life of this region and learn about traditional
lifestyles. Continue to Wyndham to the 5 Rivers Lookout,
then visit Warriu Park to see the Dreamtime Statues and
rock art. This afternoon travel to the outback station of
El Questro. A million acres in size, El Questro is located
on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley region, and extends
for approximately 80 kilometres into the heart of the region.
Overnight at the Emma Gorge Resort (tented cabins with private
facilities, power and linen provided). (Meals included:
Breakfast, dinner).
Day 6 - El Questro
Cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, abounded by tropical vegetation.
At Emma Gorge Resort there is time to sit by the pool or
to hike into Emma Gorge for a refreshing swim. Overnight
at the Emma Gorge Resort. (Meals included: Breakfast, dinner).
Day 7 - El Questro
to Halls Creek
A highlight of todays travels is a visit the Lirrgan
Argyle Diamond Mine for a guided tour of the worlds
largest diamond mine. After your visit, continue your journey
south to Halls Creek. Overnight at the Kimberley Hotel,
Halls Creek. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Day 8 - Halls
Creek to Fitzroy Crossing
Travel to the remote township of Fitzroy Crossing. Todays
highlight is an afternoon cruise through spectacular Geikie
Gorge, here 350 million year old fossils are clearly and
easily seen throughout the gorge and sheer yellow, ochre
and grey limestone walls house deep gorges, which are reflected
in the pools of the river. Overnight at the Fitzroy River
Lodge at Fitzroy Crossing. (Meals included: Breakfast, lunch,
dinner).
Day 9 - Derby
to Broome
Travel to the port of Derby and see the famous Boab Prison
Tree, this symbol of inhumanity is 14m wide and has an opening
or doorway 1m wide, 2m high, capable of holding
a number of prisoners, it was used by police during the
1890s as a lock up for Aboriginal prisoners on their way
to Derby for sentencing. Continuing your journey to Broome,
see Chinatown and Streeters Jetty. Overnight at the Cable
Beach Club Resort, Broome. (Meals included: Breakfast).
Day 10 - Broome
A day of leisure in tropical Broome. Directly opposite the
hotel is Cable Beach, so this a day to relax, stroll on
the world famous twenty two kilometres of pristine white
sand, swim in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean and at
the end of the day & take in a glorious sunset. Overnight
at the Cable Beach Club Resort. (Meals included: Breakfast).
Day 11 - Broome
to Port Hedland
Continuing south, skirt the edge of the Great Sandy Desert
to Port Hedland, a major shipping outlet for the mineral
rich Pilbara region. Overnight at the Hospitality Inn, Port
Hedland. (Meals included: Breakfast, dinner).
Day 12 - Port
Hedland to Newman
Today you leave Port Hedland and travel via Marble Bar to
Karijini and the Heartland of the Pilbara region. Overnight
at Karijini Eco Retreat (Deluxe Eco Tents with ensuite facilities)
(Meals included: Breakfast, dinner).
Day 13 - Karijini
National Park
Continue to explore Karijini National Park, the second largest
national park in Western Australia and one of the most spectacular
sights in the Pilbara, with breathtaking gorges, crystal
clear rock pools, waterfalls, and stunning scenery. Overnight
at the Windawarri Lodge, Tom Price. (Meals included: Breakfast,
lunch, dinner).
Day 14 - North
West Cape
Today visit Giralia Station, an area with many different
species of flora and fauna. This afternoon travel to Exmouth,
situated on the boundary of the Ningaloo Marine Park. Overnight
at the Potshot Hotel Resort, Exmouth. (Meals included: Breakfast,
lunch, dinner).
Day 15 - Ningaloo
Reef
Travel to Coral Bay, a quaint seaside town and join a sub-sea
viewer over the Ningaloo Reef, Western Australias
largest coral reef. Observe the abundance of marine life
that inhabit these tropical waters and marvel at the brilliant
display of colourful coral formations. Continue to Monkey
Mia. Overnight at the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort. (Meals
included: Breakfast, dinner).
Day 16 - Monkey
Mia
Walk to the beach this morning where dolphins come into
shore. These wild mammals of the ocean swim into the shallows
to mingle with people. (Note: As dolphins are wild their
appearance cannot be guaranteed.). Overnight at the Monkey
Mia Dolphin Resort. (Meals included: Breakfast).
Day 17 - Monkey
Mia to Kalbarri
This morning visit Hamelin Pool to see the worlds
best known colony of Stromatolites. The dome shaped structures
reach up to 60cm in height and a spectacular sight to see.
You will also visit Shell Beach, formed from billions of
shells up to ten metres deep, and visit Kalbarri National
Park. Overnight at the All Seasons Geraldton. (Meals included:
Breakfast, dinner).
Day 18 - Kalbarri
to Perth
Visit Nambung National Park to view the spectacular, mystical
Pinnacles, and then continue to Yanchep National Park where
you will enjoy an Aboriginal cultural experience. Here you
will meet Aboriginal guides who will share with you their
way of life in a traditional community. Continue to Perth
for your overnight stay. Overnight at the Travelodge Perth.

Day 19 - End
of Tour
After breakfast enjoy a guided tour of the highlights of
Perth. You will be transferred to Perth Airport to connect
with your onward flight. (Meals included: Breakfast)
