Travel south through tropical country passing former World War II airstrips enroute to Adelaide River War Cemetery, a site dedicated to those killed in the attacks on Darwin in the 1940's. Continue onto Katherine Gorge where you join a two hour scenic cruise. Interesting and entertaining commentary is provided. See crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks and many species of birdlife. There are a series of gorges that make up this natural wonder and you will explore the first two, passing sheer rock walls and all manner of flora and fauna.
