Leaving Darwin travel along the Stuart Highway to the Territory Wildlife Park, one of the Top End's major attractions. Here you will see buffalo, birds, dingoes, crocodiles and Banteng Cattle. There is an underwater walk through aquarium plus a large series of avaries, a bird hide overlooking a natural wetland, nocturnal house and a magnificent elevated rainforest walk.

Travel south through tropical country passing former World War II airstrips enroute to Adelaide River War Cemetery, a site dedicated to those killed in the attacks on Darwin in the 1940's. Continue onto Katherine Gorge where you join a two hour scenic cruise. Interesting and entertaining commentary is provided. See crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks and many species of birdlife. There are a series of gorges that make up this natural wonder and you will explore the first two, passing sheer rock walls and all manner of flora and fauna. A tasty picnic lunch is included at the gorge.

Travel south to Litchfield National Park where 146,000 largely untouched hectares await to be explored. Entering the park, make the rocky climb into the Tabletop Range, an ancient sandstone mountain range. View the fascinating magnetic termite mounds, which resemble giant tombstones in a graveyard. In a shallow valley on the eastern edge of the plateau, view Florence Falls where a short walk brings you to spectacular views of the falls. A picnic lunch is served and after, relax and swim in the crystal clear pools. In the afternoon visit Pethericks Rainforest and the delightful Cascade Falls.
