Valley to the Daintree River. Cross the river by cable barge and continue
through pristine rainforest. Stop for morning tea followed by a one hour
guided walk and view unique plants, birds and wildlife. Continue north
to Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the sea and coconut trees
line an unspoiled beach. Nearby is the Valley of the Palms, one hundred
acres of natural palm forest. A picnic lunch is served and you can swim
in the sea. After, return to the Daintree River for a one hour cruise
to view the wildlife that inhabits Mossman Gorge and there is time for

Travel inland stopping at several wetland areas and
visit Laura township. Take a 4WD access road to your bush camp, "Jowalbinna".
Spend two nights here and a day of hiking through sandstone escarpment
country to view Aboriginal art sites - some dating back 40,000 years.
Your guide will offer interpretation of the sights. Day three takes you
into Lakefield National Park to view crocodiles, dingoes, kangaroos and
many birds. Continue to Cooktown where you overnight. Your last day is
spent exploring Cooktown - the site of the first European settlement.
Head south along the coast stopping at Black Mountain, Lions Den and Bloomfield
Falls. The road is 4WD only and offers excellent views of the coastline.
After crossing the Daintree River, stop at Mossman Gorge for some light
