TT-Line is an incorporated enterprise wholly owned
by its single shareholder, the State of Tasmania. The company operates
a passenger, vehicle and freight service between Victoria and Tasmania
with two vessels the Spirit of Tasmania and Devil Cat.
Spirit of Tasmania operates all year round and is
regarded as Australia's largest floating hotel. At 31,000 tonnes, it can
carry 1300 passengers, 350 vehicles and 70 standard shipping containers.
It usually crosses Bass Strait at night, departing early evening and arriving
at 8.30am the next morning.
Devil Cat is a high-speed catamaran service operating
during summer from December through to April. It can cross Bass Strait
in about 6 hours carrying up to 740 passengers and 200 vehicles.
Spirit of Tasmania
Welcome
aboard the Spirit of Tasmania This ship provides a year round passenger,
vehicle and freight service between Port Melbourne, Victoria and Devonport,
Tasmania. The fare includes your choice of on board accommodation with
private facilities (except hostel), a sumptuous evening buffet meal and
continental breakfast, plus all the entertainment you can handle.
There's accommodation to suit everyone on board Spirit
of Tasmania. We have over 450 cabins - all with private facilities, adjustable
air-conditioning, and a 110/220 volt socket for shavers. Just book the
style to suit your requirements and budget.

Accommodation
Suites
These spacious, top of the range suites can accommodate up to four passengers.
They feature a queen size bed, a divan which extends into a lower bunk,
fold down upper bunk, private facilities and porthole views.
Double Cabin
Comfortable cabins for two featuring a double bed, porthole view, and
private facilities.
4-Bunk Cabins
Ideal for families or friends travelling together. They feature 4 bunk
style beds (upper and lower), private facilities, and a choice of porthole
or inside cabin, at slightly different rates.
2 Bunk Cabins
Two bunk style beds (upper and lower), private facilities, and a choice
of porthole or inside cabin, at slightly different rates.
Hostel
Ideal if you're travelling alone or on a tight budget. Lockers are provided
at a nominal fee for safety of valuables.
Cots
Complimentary cots can be provided for children under 3 if requested at
time of booking. No more than one cot per cabin. Cot linen is not supplied.
Cots are not available in share cabins or hostel accommodation.
Dining Options
Buffet Restaurants - Nauticals and The Promenade
Enjoy a complimentary full buffet evening meal and breakfast at one of
our licensed buffet restaurants. For dinner you can choose from a delicious
selection of hot and cold dishes including seafood, roasts, fresh salads
and desserts. In the morning a complimentary continental breakfast selection
is available. Your restaurant and dining times are shown on your boarding
pass. Any special dietary requirements must be requested at time of booking.
Huon Room
If you're looking for a special night to remember, dine a-la-carte in
the elegant surrounds of the Huon Room. This moderately priced restaurant
offers a wide array of dishes made with fresh Tasmanian produce and an
excellent wine list. Reservations are essential and can be made with the
Huon Room supervisor at the entrance to the restaurant.
Taking Your Car
When you think of the freedom you'll have and the
money you'll save, taking your own car to Tassie really makes sense. It
also makes packing easy - just take as much as you like. However, one
word of warning: our car carrying capacity is limited, so it's always
wise to book early.
Devil Cat
Experience
the exhilaration of crossing Bass Strait at 80 kph in Australia's largest
commercial high-speed catamaran. As one of the fastest passenger ships
of its type in the world, it'll whisk you from Victoria to "Tassie" in
just 6 hours.
Built in Hobart and constructed from marine grade
aluminium alloys. Each water-borne hull is subdivided into multiple watertight
compartments connected by an arched bridging structure with a central
forward hull above the smooth water line . The 91 metre Devil Cat holds
740 passengers and 200 cars.

as much luggage as you like. Load your car up with extra suitcases, fishing
