RAIL PASSES
General Information
For those who require more flexibility and freedom - we are pleased to be able to offer a wide choice of Rail Passes for use on the entire Amtrak network.
There is a choice of six different USA Rail Passes, each covering different regions of the U.S. Each pass is valid for 15 or 30 days with unlimited stopovers.
All rail passes are valid for travel in Coach Class on all Amtrak passenger routes. It is possible to upgrade your Pass to include sleeping accommodation for all or part of your trip, but supplements will apply.
Reservations are required for travel on most trains and it is recommended that reservations are made prior to arrival in the USA and as far in advance as possible.
Rail passes are valid for travel on Acela Regional and Commuter Coach Services. A supplement is applicable for travel on Metroliner, the premier train between New York City and Washington DC.
Pass Validity
Peak fares are valid from June 01 to September 05. Off-peak applies at all other times. If travel overlaps both seasons, a peak season pass must be purchased.
Child Discounts
Half price fares for children aged 2 - 15 with the purchase of one adult pass. Children under 2 travel free.
Northeast Rail Pass
Travel from Virginia north to Montreal, Canada or from Boston to west to Niagara Falls.
