Acela Regional

Regional trains provide fast and reliable services to more destinations with more departures and reduced journeys, in both Business and Coach classes. The Acela trains link Buffalo, Albany, Harrisburg, Richmond, Springfield and Newport Mews with the main Washington-Boston corridor.

Exploring the Northeast US is made easy with hundreds of destinations and historical sites to visit. The Regional services cover most of the Northeast region including Boston, Washington DC, Williamsburg, the Amish Country in Pennsylvania and the great Empire State of New York.

On board you will find comfortable seating and extra roomy storage for your luggage. The pub style Cafe Car tempts you with appetising food and a sociable atmosphere.

Acela Express (Coach Class Only)

A new world-class Amtrak service - a combination of acceleration and excellence, which provides first class and high speed services between Boston and Washington DC. Using advanced tilt train technology, the Acela Express services reduce travel times between Boston and New York.

The new 150-mph Acela trains were designed with input from experienced travellers. Facilities include plush seating with adjustable head cushions, adjustable lighting and a large tray table. Visit the Cafe Car where there is beer on tap and news on the TV Screen.
