Rental Information

Rental Rates

All our rates are fully inclusive and include

• Unlimited mileage
• Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
• Supplementary Liability Insurance (SLI)
• Customer Facility Charges (CFC) & Homeland Security Fees (HSF)
• All local taxes
• Airport fees

Rental Period

Rental Rates are based on a 24 hour time period commencing at the time possession of the car is taken. e.g. a car collected at 9am must be returned by 9am to avoid incurring late drop off charges or an extra days rental.

Rental Locations

Cars are available at most major towns and cities in America. Our reservations department will be able to advise you of the locations available. Cars are generally available for collection at either a downtown or airport location, (cars collected at an airport and returned downtown (or v.v.) may incur a small drop off charge).

Rental Age

(Drivers must be over 21 years of age)
Drivers between 21 and 25 are subject to “ young driver fee” of $20 per day ($35 in New York City) - payable locally. All drivers must hold a valid UK driver’s license. A major credit card in the renter’s name is also required. (Please note that Switch, Visa Delta and other types of "debit" cards are not acceptable)

Child Seats

Child seats are required by law for all children under the age of 5. These can be rented at a charge of approx $5 per day. A deposit is also required, both are payable locally. The seats are subject to availability and should be requested at the time of booking.

Additional Drivers

A daily charge of approx $6 per day is charge for any additional drivers. (*See Premium add - on option)

Taxes

All taxes on all pre-paid items are included in our rates. Taxes will be charged on any additional items paid locally, one way fees, child seat etc.

Deposit - Credit Card only

A credit card imprint will be taken on collecting your car to cover extras which have not been pre-paid e.g. taxes, fuel, child seats, one way charges. The credit card must be in the name of the main driver.

Split rentals

Should your rental include some days in low season and some days in high season, the entire rental will be based on the rate applicable at the start of the rental.

Insurance

Third Party Insurance
All rentals include third party liability insurance, which conforms to the statutory minimum required by each state, but can be as low as $5000.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
All rates include LDW. This relieves the renter or any authorised driver of financial liability for loss or damage to the rental vehicle due to collision, theft or vandalism.

Supplementary Liability Insurance (SLI) or Extended Protection (EP)
This increases the minimum third party liability insurance from the minimum amount as stated above to $1,000,000 in respect to any claims made against you. This insurance is included in your rental rates.

Optional Extra Cover
Our rates include all the essential vehicle insurance. When collecting your vehicle, you may be offered additional insurance for cover against personal injury to the driver and passengers in the event of any accident and also against loss or damage to personal items of the driver or passengers. This insurance is not included and costs approx. $7 per day payable locally.

Please note that your own personal travel insurance may cover these items; please check your policy.

One way rentals

You may collect your car in one city and return it to another. A one way drop fee will be charged. Only intermediate and full size cars are allowed on way rentals. The one way drop fee will be advised at the time of booking and is payable locally. The minimum rental period for a one way rental is 7 days. (Please note, not all locations will permit vehicles to be returned to another location, our reservations department will be pleased to advise if your chosen route is possible).

Driving restrictions

Car hire companies will not cover vehicles for damage sustained whilst travelling off-road or on unpaved roads. Any damage costs incurred whilst travelling on such roads will be the responsibility of the renter.

Refunds

We regret that we cannot provide any refund for any unused rentals days shown on a voucher.

Your Rental Agreement

Whilst we will confirm the reservation of your request, you will be required to sign a rental agreement before driving the vehicle in America at this point your contract will be between yourself & the car rental company.

Please check all charges listed on your rental agreement prior to authorising your credit card payment. Any queries should be brought to the attention of the rental company representative.
