RENTAL INFORMATION

Rental Locations
Albuquerque, Anchorage, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Newark, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Tampa, Washington DC.

Driver Requirements
The minimum age is 21 years. There is no charge for ‘extra drivers’ but all must possess a full and valid UK License and all must be present at pick up to sign the rental contract. An international driving license is also recommended. A valid credit card is also required.

Arrival Day
Motorhome companies prefer you to spend your first night in North America at a hotel located near the airport in your pick-up city. We recommend you allow us to book your hotel when we reserve your motorhome.

Vehicle pick up
Rental locations are open from 1pm to 4.00pm Monday to Saturday, your vehicle departure time is between 1pm and 4pm. All rental stations are closed on Sundays and Holidays.

Vehicle Returns
Vehicle returns must be returned between 9am and 11am. No refunds will be made for early returns, late pick-ups or any unused portion of mileage packages. A fee will be charged for each hour after 11am that the vehicle is overdue. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition that it was received excluding normal wear.

Taxes
All taxes are included on all pre-paid items. Any charges incurred locally (eg one-way rental fees) will be subjext to applicable local taxes..

One Way Rentals
These are available between all pick up points. A one way fee does apply which is paid direct to the rental station at the time of rental.

Security Deposit - Payable by credit card
You will be asked to leave a $500 refundable security deposit at pick up.

Restricted areas

Alaska, Yukon & Northwest Territories
Travel is permitted in these areas, however there are restrictions on certain roads. Please ask for details.

Death Valley & Desert Areas
Vehicles are restricted from operation in Death Valley & other desert areas during the months of July & August and at other times as determined by the rental offices.

Mexico
Vehicles can be taken into Northern Mexico and the Northern Baja region, if confirmed in advance. However some area restrictions apply during certain periods (hot season etc). An additional Mexican liability insurance of approximately $20 per day is payable.

New York City
Vehicles can be collected at either Newark or JFK Airports. However due to restrictions on vehicle heights, propane gas and parking, vehicles are not permitted in Manhattan.

Any violations to the above will result in any insurance becoming null and void. The customer will be held liable for all damages and expenses relating to the use of the vehicle in these areas.

Logging & Non-Public Roads
Vehicles are not allowed on “logging” or other non-public roads.

Personal Kits - optional
Each personal kit contains a sleeping bag, pillow, sheet, pillowcase, tea towel, bath towel etc. The cost is $50 per person per rental, paid locally.

Vehicle Kits
Each provisioning kit provides pots, pans, kettle, cooking utensils, flashlight, plates, cups, glasses, utensils, bottle opener, etc. The cost is $100 per vehicle, per rental, paid locally.

If you have any concerns about where to stay overnight, call Kampgrounds of America here in the UK on 01444 233 289. They will send you all the information and give advice about routes and distances.

Ferry restrictions
Vehicles can be transported by ferry. We advise that you reserve space for a minimum of 30-foot vehicle to avoid problems due to space.

Insurance
Cruise America maintains liability insurance coverage on all its rental vehicles to a minimum of $10,000,000 against claims of bodily injury and property damage brought against the company as a result of the operation or use of its rental vehicles. This covers Cruise America as a company only. Please ask for full details regarding insurance.

Full details of all insurance are given at the time rental. We would always recommend that you take the highest possible insurance cover available.
