NCL's Freestyle Cruising
Norwegian Cruise Lines is proud to present a new concept - Freestyle Cruising. It is cruising without boundaries - you are free to eat when & where you want, formal attire is not required (unless you choose otherwise), better service with more staff & a relaxed disembarkation…
Dining & Attire
Unlike other cruise ships, there is not set times for lunch and dinners on board this ship. You can choose to dine in any of the restaurants on board the ship at any time you want. The dress code is 'smart casual' unless you choose to dine in one of the formal dining rooms - but the choice is yours.
Activities
New Lifestyle programme on board the ship allows you to learn new skills - but only if you want to! Lifestyle programmes include computer classes, financial planning seminars, health and well-being classes, cooking demonstrations - all kinds of activities to challenge your mind! If you prefer though, you can simply relax in a jacuzzi for the entire cruise - the choice is yours!
Gratuities
For your convenience (and to save you having to find change and distribute tips), an amount of US $10 per day will to automatically added to your onboard account. If you think this amount is to too high or too low for the service you are provided onboard - simply contact the Ship’s Front Desk who will be happy to adjust accordingly.
Disembarkation
A new concept - guest friendly disembarkation. As there is more staff on board an NCL ship, it means that the disembarkation process can be streamlined. Instead of rising early, rushing breakfast and having to leave by 7am - you can enjoy a morning of leisure on the last day.
Please note that the time of disembarkation is subject to US immigration procedures, which may necessitate an early start.
Ports of Call
Bar Harbour
The rays of the rising sun touch the top of Cadillac Mountain before any
other place in the USA, and on island-dotted Penobscot Bay, little Bar
Harbor wakes to another busy day. Today, much of the area's rugged coastline
is preserved in Arcadia National Park.
Boston
Home of more colleges and universities that any other city in the US,
Boston has been the intellectual capital of America for more than 350
years. Walk through Beacon Hill and wander the red brick halls of the
New and Old statehouses.
Halifax
Bluenose schooners once sailed the world from Halifax, possibly the greenest
city in Canada's Maritime Provinces. Take a tour of Halifax's restored
Historic properties or head out to the Bay of Fundy or Arcadia, or to
pretty-as-a-picture Peggy's Cove.
Martha's Vineyard
With postcard-perfect towns of Gothic Victorian cottages along a coast
that looks like the Emerald Isle, this charming little island has long
been a fashionable summer retreat.
New York City
There's no city in the world quite like new York. From the exchanges of
Wall Street and the superb art galleries to the bright lights of Broadway.
Ride to the top of the Empire State Building or take the boat trip out
to the Statue of Liberty.
Newport, Rhode Island
Newport was founded by the Quakers, but became the summer home of America's
most wealthy, including the Vanderbilts and Astors. Their splendid homes,
which they called 'cottages', can be seen along Bellevue Avenue and Ocean
Drive.
