We offer a wide selection of vehicle types & sizes. If you need something small for getting around town then our sub-compact and compact rental cars are ideal. For the open road you might appreciate the extra room and power of our full size cars and wagons, and if you need room for the whole family we have a range of 4WD and minivan options available.

A GPS unit is available at a supplement of £9 per day or £43 per week. Please request at time of booking.

Rental Locations
Cars are available at most major towns and cities throughout America. Cars are generally available for collection at either a downtown or airport location, (cars collected at an airport and returned downtown (or vice versa) may incur a small drop off charge). In locations where Alamo/National do not have rental offices, we may provide car rental with an alternative rental company. Please note however that the rental conditions may differ to those shown here. Full information will be provided at the time of your enquiry/booking.

One Way Rentals
You may collect your car in one city and return it to another, but a one way drop fee may apply. The one way rental fee will be advised at the time of booking and is payable in US Dollars at the location of pick-up.

One way rentals are free of charge within Florida and California.

Fees are based on distance between the depots as follows:

* Exception to one way fee: For Rentals commencing 01 July 2012 - 31 August 2012 all one ways in Convertible Cars from San Francisco to all destinations will be charged at $350.00.

Rental Rates - All our rates include the following;

Unlimited mileage (see below), Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), airport fees, $1million liability insurance and local taxes (see tax information below).

Rental Period
Rental Rates are based on a 24 hour time period commencing at the time possession of the car is taken. Eg a car collected at 9am must be returned by 9am to avoid incurring late drop off charges or an extra days rental.

Rental Age
The minimum age for renting a vehicle is 21 years an underage fee of $25 per day, per driver will apply for renters and additional drivers aged 24 and under. Certain locations may restrict specialty car types for underage renters. In the states of New York and Michigan the minimum age is 18 years (Underage drivers renting in New York are restricted to economy through to full-size vehicles only) and for renters and authorised drivers under the age of 24 in these states, an insurance recovery fee up to $60.00 per day applies in lieu of an Underage Driver Fee.

(Note: Switch, Visa Delta or any other ‘Debit’ cards are not acceptable)

Fuel Policy
All vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. The cost of the fuel is included in our Enhanced Rental rates. On our Standard rental rates you may either return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, or pre-pay for a full tank at the time of rental.

Child Seats
Child seats are required by law for all children under the age of 4 years (ages may vary between states). These can be rented at a charge of approx $7 per day (payable locally) A deposit may be required. Seats are subject to availability & should be requested at the time of booking.

Additional Drivers
Additional authorised drivers are charged at approx. $10 per day payable locally (unless our enhanced rate is taken, where the first additional driver is included, see price panel for details).

Deposit (Credit Card Only)
A credit card imprint will be taken on collecting your car to cover extras which have not been pre-paid e.g. fuel, child seats, one way charges. The credit card MUST be in the name of the main driver. Visa, Mastercard & American Express cards are accepted.

(Switch, Maestro, Visa Delta or any other ‘Debit’ cards are not acceptable).

Split Rentals
Should your rental include some days in low season and some days in high season, the entire rental will be based on the rate applicable at the start of the rental.

Minimum Rental
The minimum rental period is 1 day on standard rates (or 5 days for enhanced rates & one way rentals).

Mileage Allowances
Unlimited mileage is included.

Collision Damage Waiver
All our rates include Collision Damage Waiver. This reduces the renter's financial responsibility for loss or damage to the rental vehicle due to collision, theft or vandalism from full value to $300.

Additional Liability Protection
All rates include the renter and authorised drivers up to an aggregate of US$1,000,000 for claims that may be made by others against the renter and authorised drivers for bodily injury/death and or property damage arising out of the use or operation of the rental vehicle. Rates do not include Uninsured Motorist Protection which is only available locally (certain locations excluded).

Roadside Plus (RSP)
RSP is available in all USA locations. RSP is void and of no effect if, at the time of the incident necessitating roadside assistance, the renter (or an Authorised Driver) were in violation of the rental agreement, including, without limitation, the Prohibited Uses and Violations as detailed in your rental agreement. In such cases, roadside assistance will be available, but standard charges may apply.

RSP includes the following: Key replacement, Tyre assistance, Tyre replacement, Towing, Jump Start, Lockout service, Fuel delivery (Up to three gallons).

Driving Restrictions
Vehicles can be driven in any state in the United States. Vehicles may not be driven into Mexico. Vehicles rented in Alaska must be returned in Alaska. Vehicles can be driven into Canada but must be returned to the United States unless a pre arranged drop off at one of the approved locations has been made. Driving on unpaved roads voids your Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) coverage.

Many roads around major cities have toll charges, these are not included in our rental rates. Some locations may offer pre-paid toll readers, please ask your representative when you collect your vehicle.

Full details of all driving and toll restrictions will be advised when you collect your vehicle.

Parking/Traffic Violations
You are responsible for reporting and paying all parking/traffic/toll violations when returning your vehicle. Your credit card will be charged for any charges/fines penalties incurred in addition to an administrative fee, if you do not report a parking/traffic/toll violation when returning your vehicle.

Refunds
We regret that we cannot provide any refund for any unused rental days shown on a voucher.

Taxes & Surcharges
All rentals are subject to provincial taxes, however these are included in our rental prices for prepaid items. Any charges incurred locally (e.g. one way rental fees) will be subject to applicable taxes and fees.

Rental prices vary between state, season and vehicle type - Please contact us for an accurate price for your chosen date and rental location.

Standard Rates Include: Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver, SuppIementary Liability Insurance, Underinsured Motorist Protection, handling fees, local taxes and some airport fees.

Enhanced Rates also Include: All of the above Additional driver fees + 1st Tank of fuel.

YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT
Whilst we will confirm the reservation of your request, you will be required to sign a rental agreement before driving the vehicle in America. At this point your contract will be between yourself & the car rental company. Please check all charges listed on your rental agreement prior to authorising your credit card payment. Any queries should be brought to the attention of the car hire representative before leaving the rental station.

We can not be held responsible for any charges added to your rental agreement that were not disputed/checked at the time of the rental.
